My dr finally called me today. I am soo desperate for sleep. He gave me trazadone. I know you have all been telling me to take it. Its 50mgs and he said take 1 if i cant sleep take a second one
Will it work I hope. I felt like i was losing my mind today due to lack of sleep, im going to Church now with parents, be back on later

I used to take it and it helped me for awhile. Like anything, you get used to it and it's not as effective anymore. Good luck to you.

I took it for a year. I loved it cause I slept so good just with 50mg and I never was groggy when I woke up. I heard a lot of people can be, but with me when I was up, I was up. I had to stop taking it when I got pregnant. I thought about getting another script for it if I keep not sleeping well. Usually I take either a flexeril or zanaflex to sleep.

Snce the pm's didn't work well for you, may I suggest you take 25 mg to start, only if the pill is scored, meaning there is an indent/line/marks on the pill for breaking in half, then if you can't sleep, take other 25 mg.
You should not half a pill unless it is scored from what I have been told from my doctor..
25 mg. does wonders for me. You may require 50 mg. I start at the lowest dose of meds, then go up if needed per doctors orders.

I hope you had a good night, you are such a "trooper". Keep up the good work and attitude. I am right behind you getting off of the Suboxene. Jealous that you are done ;o). The Trazadone should help you well. Take a hot bath, take a Trazadone and I hope you sleep. I would give it time to work. I noticed if I took too much, I would get 'restless legs", and I was not on any narcotics at the time, and I stayed within my recommended dosage. I hope you get some good sleep, sweet dreams. That was my initial thought, I now wonder if he should go ahead and take the 50mg as prescribed, being his doctor told him too, lol I have taken 50 before, and it knocks you out pretty good. For what a week? kidding RED.. 25 mg knocked me out, but during the ' woman' phase of my life, I did go up to 50 mg a few times. Thanks

Thanks everyone. I tell you I broke down, first time in the 12 days and cried on the way to the pharmacy. I used to have such a normal life. I dont know if its the lack of sleep or what but today was aweful. I really hope i get better soon, im wondering if i will ever feel better again.
I went to blockbuster and rented Amityville Horror. I need a god horror to scare me to sleep. Need something to do. I feel soo alone tonight my friends

Don't know if this type of thing does anything for you, do you have a small fan you can
blow on you when you go to bed? The noise and the blowing air, helps me as well. Put it on turbo charge, and you may not be able to keep the covers from coming off. . lol
Stop thinking I may never feel better and start saying, I WILL GET BETTER.. positive thinking, you can and have control over you own thoughts. Work it.

reddog, Sleep deprivation makes people CRAZY. When I was detoxing myself, I would get maybe 15-20 hrs. of sleep per week. YOU WILL SLEEP TONIGHT!

Well my movie is almost over. I am going to take the trazedone and pray for the best. I am so sleep deprived its aweful. Im going to think positive though. I guess its the only way there is. I can not thank you guys enough for all the help. Lets see what day 13 brings tomorrow. I got to start feeling better soon.

I took trazadone in rehab and it worked great. I have a script for it now and I use it when needed. I hope it works well for you.

Reddog...I've taken Trazodone for years...I'm at 400mgs....I've had trouble sleeping for along time..LOL...The only side effect I've noticed for me is craving sweets about an hour after I take it...Not good for me,being diabetic..LOL
