Hello again, Some of you may remember me from last year when I quit smoking for a few months. I am on my 6th day clean and it is tough as always. I'm reading Rational Recovery. I didn't do well with the 12 Step philosophy so I thought I'd try something different. I am able to recognize my "addictive voice." It's been screaming at me for days to get it some weed. I do alright during the day but in the evening I am restless and twitchy. I'm seeing a new doctor for chronic pain from migraines. I'm getting some injections of normal saline in my back and neck. I was very skeptical but I am doing very well after only 2 treatments over the past month. I've been able to get off a heavy anticonvulsant med, Gabapentin, that also helps with chronic pain. I am having trouble sleeping. I was heavily sedated for a year and a half so I'm not too surprised.....We had our house on the market and that was very stressful. We took it off last week and decided to stay here another year or two. No more excuses for keeping up the habit. No more money either. I am a cat fanatic. I got my fourth one New Year's week. He is gray and white, Clive. He is a lot of fun and very entertaining. The big cats are not very impressed. It's good to read your posts WW, Bryn, MnM and others. Hang in there Jo Jo, you can do it. Ruby, I haven't seen you on the board but I hope you're over the worst and feeling good. All the best to everyone trying to stay away from the weed.
Good fr you Rachel, whatever gets the job done should be just fine and if it works for you then nothing else matters. It's nice to see you here and we'll be rooting for you. Enjoy your kitty =)

If you're still having trouble sleeping, try melatonin. You can buy it in the vitamin section of most stores.
