Update On Danny

Hi everyone,

I got a brief yet informative email from Danny this evening. He has been extremely ill for a little while, and they are admitting him into the hospital. He has lost way too much weight with his illness, and now they are going to put in a sort of feeding tube, I believe that runs up his thigh. That way he can gain some weight back and be able to fight his medical problems better. From what I have read it is a pretty awful procedure, and I was wanting to wish him the best, and to let everyone know why he has not been around lately.

Danny, you are in my prayers, and remember, I am only a call or click away. Godspeed my friend, and may there be an angel on your pillow. I will send you all sorts of healing prayers. GET WELL SOON!

feel better soon. i had no idea you were sick. i was having fun reading your essay on yes yesterday. you should write for rolling stone. i know sometimes doing stuff like that helps take yuor mind off things and at least feel better for if only a little while. my thoughts and prayers are with you. speedy recovery my silly friend.

I have been meaning to e-mail you back hun. I know you have been in and out of the hospital a couple times this month.I am so sorry your not feeling good. I will say a prayer for you. Hey guys, this is what Danny is going through. He went to the hospital today (Friday). I know he appreciates all the prayers everyone's been sending.

TOTAL PARENTERAL NUTRITION

GENERAL INFORMATION:

What is it? Total Parenteral (per-IN-ter-ull) Nutrition (new-TRIH-shun) is also called TPN. It provides your body with nutrition such as protein, sugar, vitamins, minerals, and sometimes fat (lipids). TPN is used when you are unable to eat or cannot get enough nutrition from the foods you eat. TPN always goes into your vein (blood vessel) through an intravenous (in-truh-V-nus) (IV) line. It may be given to you in the hospital, long-term care center, or at home. You may need TPN for several days or longer.

Danny - you will be in my prayers. I know you have been through hell and back and have still stood strong. Coming on here and making jokes, not letting anyone really know how bad you are hurting and trying to make others feel better. You are one strong man. Please try to stay strong and follow drs. orders. If the dr. tells you to take pain meds, then TAKE them. You have a reason to. My prayers are with you.

Thanks so much for posting this - I know that Danny would not let on how sick he really was. Thats just the kind of guy he is. Carrie, you know I love you and my prayers are with you, as well. Hey all, I just wanted to say that Danny will sure love to see this when he gets home. You all are pretty darned great people, and I know that this will touch his heart.

We have all grown to love this man over the past few months, and to know he is so sick, it is very hard to fathom. We all see a side to Danny with his comical side, that to see this side is heartbreaking.

We love you bro, stay strong, and keep on fighting!

Marie, I love you too sista, you hang in there, and please do drop me a ring tomorrow. I will be out for a little while during the afternoon, but I will be home for a bit around 6pm your time. Call me then, or ring the cell phone, I have free minutes all weekend....... I am praying for you too! I hope you are ok.
