so im on 7mg and still taking cuts, but im soooo scared!! ive been on methadone since 2005 was up to 100mg slow been coming down for years. now i'm at the end and im scared. does anyone know how bad wd's will be off 5mg or is it better to go all the way to 1mg? will I still have wd's off 1mg? I don't know im so worried. probably over thinking all this and making it worse. ive been drug free except meth for years. I work full time and life going good. this honestly only hurdle to sobriety. just don't wanna fail. any advice would help.

It sounds like you may be freaking yourself out for nothing. You actually did the right thing by taking so long to go down. Good for you! Most people take a few months,are in a big rush and then finish and fall apart. They are right back on in a couple weeks.
How are you feeling? If you are doing OK just go for it. Stay busy, take warm/hot showers to relax yourself. Exercise before bedtime so you will sleep. You can always go back to it,before you think you would start using again. Theres no shame in that, but it sounds like you are doing OK.
Go all the way down to 1 mg! Don't jump off just because theres only a day or two left. Finish it right and go LIVE YOUR LIFE FREE FROM OPIATES!!!
