In the May 2, 2005, issue of People magazine, singer, choreographer, and American Idol judge Paula Abdul discusses living with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), also known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Abdul says the chronic pain of the syndrome began with a cheerleading accident at age 17, but it was not until November 2004 that RSD was identified. She states that after 12 surgeries and heavy medications that she says made her chronically nauseous, sleep-deprived and confused, treatment with the medication Enbrel (etanercept) has given her relief.
Thanks Danny. So, if she was on heavy meds, how could she never have been high in her life? lol

Man WOW-- Thanks Danny--she is very talented woman. She just reminds me of that "LUDE LOOK" -
The show Idol is finished--I think this will be its last year. That 17 yr old kid? This is live-- the kid does he go to high school? -The one that tries to look like M.J??
I personally despise all these shows but just me---Plenty of people like it.

Amazing how people judge others so differently. I like Paula and she has discussed her injuries and health conditions many years ago. Ive seen her discuss the topic and say she honors her role model position and in all her years has never been drunk and after years of pain medication illnesses she is very careful about what she takes. Howard Stern on the other hand is just a leader of the losers in my opinion. Yes hes made a fortune off of it. But this Sanjaya thing is a perfect example. People like him and his "followers" cant stand to see a good thing without tearing it down. Idol is so popular because its a show families and friends join to watch each week and can enjoy together and discuss together. Its clean cut fun. That of course is appalling to Howard. To purposely advise people to vote for someone because he is the antithesis of talent on a talent show is another example of his desire to ruin good and make bad. If all the losers in the world who hang on his every word could wake up and put the effort they put into knocking good things into bettering their life around them, wed be in a different world.
Donna I only speak for myself in saying Paula is gorgeous talented but in certain t.v "takes "she looked whacked out.
You know maybe it was on purpose or a reaction to a new med?
I should know better than anyone as My moods used to change 3-4 times within 15 minutes.
It took years of therapy for me to have any clue in how to handle the High's and lows of prednisone.
Anyway I like her hate the show. She sure is talented (PAULA) Just reminded me of myself on Ludes?? Just my observation
Jeff

Jeff,
Do you watch the show? How can you hate it if you dont watch it? Its a talent show with young, hopeful people who have been given the chance of a lifetime. Even those who dont win.

Paula does look high sometimes but it could just be her personality and you're right Donna, who are we to judge her. If you don't watch the show Jeff than how do you know you don't like it? I never thought I would watch a show like this but I tuned into it this year because nothing else was on and I love it! Try it before you slam it.
Sorry Donna Hate is a bad word. Dislike it.
Watch the show? After seeing 3 "judges make fun of a bunch of people who really felt they belonged? Not for me.
You enjoy
Jeff

It really is a phenononom how this show pulls you in, isnt it? But everything from the talent (some of them), the kids personalities, the judges, Ryan, the music, the guest stars, etc. It all works so well together.
I really hate Howard Stern and those like him whos goal it is to destroy something good.

Lisa my sister loves the show. Case closed
Lisa,
www.votefortheworst.com is taking full credit for Sanjaya still being there. They started the campaign to keep him around, Howard Stern picked up on it, and all his 'followers' are voting for Sanjaya.
I went to the American Idol concert in Philly last year, and got hit in the head with a autographed Chris Daughtry guitar pick. I had to kick an old lady and push down a little kid to get it, but damn it, they got in my way.

This is the first year I have ever watched it too. Jeff, once you get by the auditions (which I think are purposely hurtful), the critics really aren't all that bad. Simon can be "frank" so to speak but the other two are usually pretty kind.
Actually, everyone on the show has been pretty good. It's not really just a singing competetion. Overall image counts too. If it didn't, Simon wouldn't comment on hair and clothes as he does. So doon't be fooled.
And that Sanya (or whatever) kid..well, he just plain does not belong. He's actually a very good singer but certainly does not belong with the others on the stage. Way out of his league and he's now milking it for all he can get, hence the hair..I mean, you can't buy that kind of publicity.
I think the competition was actually over weeks ago. I already know who is going to win. In fact, I didn't even watch it this week.

Jeff,
The making fun of part I dont enjoy. I often wonder where the parents and friends of these people are - it is the 6th Season! Alot of them just want to be on tv! But those shows I dont care for either. Its the talent part which I get hooked on. And I enjoy totally.

Has anyone watched the show Identity? It was on tonight. Shantel
Shantell, the "concept" of that show is good, the execution is very weak.
Danny I used the word Hate out of context --I hate racist bastards who take 15 innocent British kids and have destroyed these people.
If they were Americans? The British are our friends. We do not have many left.
Its pretty sad when our news talks about Paris hilton facing 90 days in jail for driving her 200,000 bentley (she will auction it off for sure) when there are 15 BRAVE BRITISH soldiers having there FREEDOM taken away. They are scarred for life even if let go tomorrow.
Or how angry peopel are at HOWARD STERN?LMAO cause he is affecting this 'IDOL SHOW?
Danny does howard force anyone to vote for this 17 yr old talentless kid? BLAME BLAME BLAME
I l ike that guy the chinese guy who sings like I do.
I DISLIKE the show -so that's me---I like Paula--just reminded me of myself on Ludes.
Danny how did howard stern get so involved. He is the best.
Have a good night man--

Danny, I love that show. Did you watch it tonight? I could not believe that lady tonight could not figure out who the person was from Japan. By the way took you long enough to answer my post to you on the movie site. Shantel
Typical :)
Jeff, Do I feel one of your mood swings coming on. Shantel
