Hey Lady,
Thank you so very much for your messages, and support on the other parts of the board.
Figured you'd see this faster.
You know I so appreciate your words, and help. It seems kind of like more than anyone you absolutely know where I'm at. Considering the girls are the same age and all. You've really helped. I got to say everyone on this board rocks and is supportive.
Hope things are good with you. I was looking for that thread with pics too to see your girl surfing. Couldn't find it though. Again know you are appreciated, and hope you are doing good.
Hi Bryn & VW...
Both you ladies help me tremendously with your posts...My son is right around the same age as your girls and there are a lot of similarities that I can relate too...I don't post much about it but I do live with it daily so thanks for being so open & honest and sharing your ESH...I wish you both the best and when things start to look dismal with my son, the ole saying "this too shall pass" brings some comfort...
(((hugs)))

Thanks Bryn ~ I posted to you under your "detaching" thread on the "Families" board. Yes, our daughters are very similar, but when my daughter is active in her disease, which I don't think she is now...is when that behavior occurs....she has matured so much by going thru rehab and attending meetings....but, I've changed too....I had to, I would've gone insane or drank if I didn't...I have to hang on tight, but also on the other side of that I have to surrender...
Hi Stacy ~ Yep, I think our children who have inherited this killing disease, have very similar mindsets and ways of acting out. Hope you are well.

Bryn,
Been reading your posts on the family board...I hear it said again and again, "sobriety is not for sissies"; you are a strong woman and I empathize with your situation as you know....sometimes it is so hard, believe me I have those fleeting moments where I think it would be okay to drink or use........but by sharing that with someone else it takes the power out of it for me. Hope, you are feeling better today.
Btw, my daughter's surf pic is on the last page of the pic thread here...on the Alcohol board.
Oh, in answer to your question my name here is V W Girl, that's how they refer to me at meetings (since there was another Jeri when I first got sober). It's for my little 04 V W Beetle. I think the other poster, W V Girl, is from West Viriginia.
Take it easy,
VWGirl
