Hey ther all i havent ben to this site due to lack of a computer in like a year but i see aloyt of the same people tghats so cool-i need some of the expert advice from all you pro junkies out there or should i say pro-ex junkies anyway heres the deal i was on H for 5 years straight and the only way i eas able to get off and stay off for more than a few weeks (three years now) has been through methafdone and i am gratefull for it but as many of you know and express methadone has many negative aspects but not near as many as being an strung out homeless junky-im at the place in thife where im pretty strong in recovery and id like to come off of it prferrebly slowly but im not qiute sure-i have many fears that once off ill mess up also im worried ill feel like s*** for six months-so if youve done this-please tell me how and the pros and cons to it--REALLY NEED HEL:P HERE ans we all know my son and my life is literally on the line if i make the wrong decision my dose is 145 and i get 2 weeks worht at a time ive been on it for 3 years

but i do know here they call it comeing down they reduce the dose by 5mg every few weeks until weaned.

hi there. everytime i've come off methadone i've come down 5ml every 2 weeks until i get really low. at 15-20ml i come down 2-3ml every 2 weeks. that works for me and for most people i've spoken with but you should really arrange a plan with ur doctor . hope u succeed. take care. i always seem 2 last a while clean then because i've been so good i " reward " myself with a bag. "doh "hope ur not a fool like me.
