Well, today is my 2nd day. I don't feel very strong(mentally). Physically I'm ok, just tired. I really want to call my friend but I won't. I am trying to think of something I can do to occupy my mind, I can't concentrate on a book, so that's out. My car is on it's last leg so I can't go anywhere either.Any suggestions?
Can you go for a walk? Some fresh air can do wonders. And then maybe a movie?

Ty. Well, I would love to go for a walk, but my foot pain is what got me here in the first place. I've already had 3 surgeries.Anyway, my hubby has the tv today watching football. I like to watch too, just not in the mood today. I'm a little on the irritable side today as well.I guess it's just a blah day for me.Thank you for your response.
How about going through pictures? I can get lost for hours looking at old photos.

Angie, just treat it like the flu, ride it out. Watch a comedy, focus on anything except how bad you feel. Go take a long hot hot bath and think about the most beautiful place you have ever been or seen and picture yourself there.
Mentally go to a place where you are laughing, healthly, remember the times when you were not using and how happy you were. Keep a journal.
You can do this. you are almost there, just a few more days.

Welcome to the board Angie. I am sorry if I missed you story but congrats on Day # 2.. What were you taking and how much? Also if you just feel tired then your doing great! Looking through old pictures is a great idea Redd. That will occupy you for a few hours. If you don't need any OTC medications then don't take them, just ride it out. Hot bathes and motrin if that's something your able to take. Immodium AD helps if you get the runs. Eating small meals and multi-vitamins.. Good luck~ Rae
My hubby just went to the store for some Midol. He is trying to help, but I can tell he is getting irritated with me.I guess he thinks I can be done and over it just like that.I have 3 kids
OOPS! I dunno what happened. I didn't finish before it posted. Weird. Anyway, my kids, 8, 4 & 5 months. So it really isn't as easy as I want it to be to just "get away" in my mind. It is a great thought though.
Midol helped me a lot when I was feeling bloated, irritated, , fatigue, cramps and had headaches. I think it works great!! I get the Midol Menstrual Complete ( Max Strength)... At night Comtrex flu worked really good for me to but not everyone should take it without talking to their doctor. Some OTC medications can be dangerous. Ps. It sounds like you have your hands full with 3 young children. I have 3 also. My oldest is 14 daughter a son that will 7 next month and a little girl 18 months. So I know all about it. It's not easy to care for them and go through a withdrawl. I feel for you. I never want to do that again.

I was taking 10+ Lotab 10's or percocets daily. I'm taking the B-complex & fish oil right now. I heard that fish oil is great for depression.Midol is on the way.LOL I am a little moody right now.Thank you guys for the posts & support.

I am 8 month clean from vicodin. I've been through my share of detoxs though.. Should I say relapses.I went through a percocet detox back in 1998 and a Methadone withdrawl back in 2002. Then a couple vicodin ones but I am praying that is all behind me now. On to 9 months and not planning on ever going back. My best advice to you would be keep going and don't ever think you can just take " One pill again" cause it never works out that way. If you must have pain meds have someone you trust give them to you and never keep any in your house or under your control!! Good luck~ Rae

Your welcome. It should help with the body aches, leg aches etc. If you have those symptoms. You may need to send him back up to get midol if the irritability doesn't go away some. The midol won't take it all a way but it may take a little edge off. The best thing for you is hot bathes and just ride it out. It will pass, I promise it won't last forever.

That's so true & funny. Oh well.I do love him though. He has put up with me this long(12 yrs).
Yeah you better keep him around then I guess:-)12 yrs is a long time to leave him for buying you aleve and not midol..:-) It doesn't matter how long you have been with a man they will never buy you what you send them to the store to get. Mine just got home from Wal-mart and got me the wrong papertowels. I have this thing with wanting Bounty papertowels after 3 years he still isn't trained..He brings me home some hard scratchy papertowels,LOL Maybe I am being picky but what can I say I am a woman. I am allowed to be, That is my job!! Right..? LOL
