What exactly is in SUB. I really want to prepare for the withdrawls. Will welbutrin help?

ronnie the best way i can summ it up is wellbutrin is an antidepressent and sub is a form ot methedone but harder to get. only a selct few dr's can prescribe. as i said i dont know much about sub. molly's right do a google search.

What kind of doctor can prescribe it?
a regular family doc or a rehab center?

Only certain ones like my Family Dr had to take some certification thing before he could prescribe.I would look into addiction Dr or pain management Dr...mj

ummmmm, misty can help you better she has a sub dr locator. maybe even if you look up sub in google you can get more info, i assume its like a methedone clinic but ia also heard regular dr's can prescribe, they just have to be qualified through certain certification and i believe they can only accept like 30 patients on sub. as i said i can only go by what i have read from thise site. someone will be by soon with experience on sub and more info.

I am on both suboxone AND wellbutrin

The sub is a long-lasting opiate that is used to help get off of pain pills...... It will not make you high, unlike methadone, and has a ceiling effect on it so that you will not get a buzz even if you take more than you should.

The suboxone gets rid of withdrawal symptoms, a main reason people relapse or can't quit successfully. You have to be in withdrawals 24 hours before you can start the program, but after that you won't have the sickness, the diarrhea, the sweats, the restless legs, etc, etc, etc.

The wellbutrin is an antidepressant that helps eliminate cravings.... it is used to help people stop smoking, stop gambling, stop spending money, stop taking drugs.... It helps with the obsessiveness and the uncontrollable urges.....

I am on these drugs and will be on them for at least 6 months to a year.... My mind is so used to taking drugs and being on something that for me it's not just getting clean... I have to retrain my body to go about my daily life without taking pills so that I don't relapse (again).

Im starting sub in several weks. My experience with wellbutrin wasnt good, It made me cry unconrolably and made me very depressed, I called my Dr from car in tears and he said to sop it immediaty as it changes the neurotransmiters in brain and in my case it was overloading them and causing the undesierable things. I used it to try to stop smoking but it wasnt for me. Im better with prozac. just a thought incase you happen to get the symptoms I did, not everyone does Best Ramon
