Im just getting home from work, got the whole night to do as i wish.Problem is,i dont wish to do anything.
Ever feel like that?
Husband wants to go living room shopping, our old stuff is 10 years old.You would think i would be excited about going looking for a beautiful living room set.
I just feel blah, and have for days.
So...im going to get in my pajamas, get my magazines, and just read, its the one thing that always helps me relax.Helps me to get over these periods of ...i dont even know what to call them....depression?...discontentment?...i dont know.I have nor reason to feel this way,i should be totally happy with life, and for the most part,i am,so i guess im thankful for that. But nights like this...not so good.Am i crazy,or do any of you ever feel this way for no reason at all?
I hope youre all out enjoying your evening/life instead of sitting here in front of the computer.I know i need to just snap out of it.Tomorrow i get my two older grandchildren, seeing them, listening to them, watching them, brings me such joy.
Thanks for letting me post my gloomy gus post, take care~KIM
Hey Kim! I'm fixing to bring Dylan to his first dance...waahhh...my baby is growing up! LMAO He took a shower and about 5 minutes after I smelled Bod...from upstairs....I asked him how many squirts he used and he said 2...smells more like he spilled the bottle on the floor...
So I'm probably going to check back in once I bring him, the dance starts at 6 so I have to leave now....
How bout a nice ol' Friday night PJ party???

Hey Kim :
My alcoholic friend called me as he needs m e to get him to the bar--He has to blow into a tube to start his car.
Man I went to the doctor as I have another f-in infection. He put me on Avelox ANEW ANTIBIOTIC never took it before.
This has been a tough month for me. I am weaning way down on my prednisone and I my psoriatic arthritis went Flair city---and the doctor wants me to try AVELOX?
Kim I got my newspapers the tube --all alone as due to my eldest ? Pickup is moved till tomorrow. My eldest is DEEP SHEET with the EX long story--lets say her DSAT scores were not what My Ex expected.
Anyway its nice I bought the pursuit of happiness to add to my DVD collection GOOD FLICK
Kim I read a lot. Books magazines and of course newspapers. Love to read.
Have a good night--Jeff

HI JANET
Oh Janet,i bet he looks wonderful.I forget, how old is he?
Is he nervous? Does he plan on asking a girl to dance, some younger boys just tend to stand in a corner together(or does he have a girlfriend already?)
My boys would never ever be caught dead at a school dance, never.
But they did open this "club" like place for teens 13-17,and they were all for that. They used to go every weekend.I think they tended to get into more trouble at that place than at a school dance, though the security was very good.Kids find a way somehow no matter what.
I can remember going to the dances,i loved them,us girls would dance by oursleves, the boys very seldom asked us to dance.Or...if there was a boy we really liked,we would take the initiative and go ask him.
I hope he has a wonderful time.The grow so fast,its amazing!!!!!!~KIM

Jeff, they sure do know how to push our buttons huh? We want and expect so much for them, and sometimes they just dont see it,they think were nagging or just plain dont have a clue! Oh to be young again and have the world by the balls. What we would do different huh?
I love to read,i always have. When i was in jr high i would skip certain classes i hated and go spend hours in the library reading every book i could get my hands on.
Still to this day, reading is my comfort zone, the thing i think of,long for when im stressed or feeling out of sorts. It always always relaxes me!I dont go anywhere without a book or magazine in my pocket book.
The pursuit of Happiness...thats the Will Smith movie? I dont watch movies often, but heard that one was great.
Hubby and i went to the movies last weekend, first tiem ever in our 25 years of marriage...no lie!!!!!...weve been to the drive in,but never a movie theater. We saw Wild Hogs,we both thought it was pretty good.Give me a good comedy anyday!Enjoy your movie~KIM

Hi Jeff!
Kim, he wouldn't wear anything special, he has one of those silky oriental style button shirts, but nope, had to wear what he normally wears to school. Boys! I dropped him off, nervously, there weren't too many kids around, and he didn't see any of his friends, Mama wanted him to wait in the car until one showed up, but he wasn't having that. Thankfully there was already a rent-a-cop there so I reluctantly let him go.
I asked him if he was going to ask a girl to slow dance and he said he didn't know how to dance, of course Mom says, you should have told me! I could hear his eyes roll...LOL
Jeff, you talking bout your Dad reminded me, I think the best time I remember with him is him dancing with me at my sister's wedding. He was so strong and sure of himself...I will never forget that. I was 14 at the time. We are planning a family reunion trip in October. Mom, Dad and the 4 daughters together, most probably the last time all of us together. My CT sisters are driving, I am flying into Gainesville.

Boy do i know exactly what you mean!!!!!
The dancing with the father thing reminds me too,i always used to dance with my father when i was little,my feet on his. There were 7 of us girls so,we all took turns, but its a nice memory.
I sure hope he has a good time at the dance, good luck getting anything out of him when you pick him up."it was fine"...thats about all i used to get when my boys went somewhere and i was anxious to hear how it went.LOL~KIM
I'm so glad the dance ends at 9.
I don't know how much of the news you've heard from LA but we have been having some terrible situations with young children in school. A few days ago 5 10-11 year olds were suspended from school for having sex (?!), 2 had sex the other 3 were fondling each other...my God! What is going on nowadays? All this happened because they weren't supervised after an assembly that was supposed to help them deal with the stabbing death of a 15 year old classmate.
I pray that my son has the smarts to stay away from children like that.
Yeah, I'm sure I will hear "okay", I ask him about school and he says that.
PS...My house still reeks of Bod!

No Janet,i hadnt heard that about the young kids having sex.How sad. These poor kids are lost.Theres so much of it,everywhere
I just cant help but wonder what kind of quality of life this generation is going to have.It scares me.
My two oldest boys, and the problems theyve had. They now have decent jobs, but not fantasitc,s*** for benefits.I mean, they never think about health insurance and stuff like that when theyre younger, but its a big big deal these days.My youngest son got in with his father working for the state,we are pushing pushing pushing for him to get a permanant position. The benefits we get are the best, and we want him and his family to have the same. Then they would be set for life.
Sorry to get off on a tangent,i worry sometimes about everything under the sun.
Im sure youre sons going to enjoy the dance very much, even if he doesnt dance with a girl,he'll enjoy watching them dance, lol.~KIM

I'm sure he will come home with a stiff neck from "head-banging"....the older 2 would complain about it..lol...
It is a sad commentary on how many so called "Adult" problems these young children have.
I know what you mean about health insurance. My son's GF and he aren't getting married because they have no health insurance to pay for the baby so she is getting State assistance...something that brought such shame to our generation is so widely accepted nowadays...and in this economy who can blame them? I can really get into a state if I let myself think too heavily on this sort of stuff, I know how you feel...
On an upbeat note: I worked for my friend at her resale shop today. I brought some more stuff in, priced it and put it out. I made $30 but turned around and bought a car seat for $5 (yes 5) and a pair of shorts for Jana for $4. This girl has her stuff priced sooooo low, I'm sure her business will really take off if she keeps things marked at these low prices. The highest price I have on an item is $15.99 for a 3 piece suit.
Well I guess everyone else got busy, hope y'all have a nice night!

good to see you Donna! I'm getting ready to go do the long wait in line to pick up my son...probably take a half hour to get through...
It's been a while since I've had a chance to get on, with Kenny living with us...but I wouldn't trade that sweet smile for the world...he's Mr. Personality too!

Yes Kim - I play Spades on line. I had stopped for many months and just started getting back into it. I also play scrabble on line.
Dont think too much about feeling "blue". When we had little kids we were too busy to think about depression. Now I have so much more free time and I think the "blues" you feel and I know the feeling as well, may have more to do with simply being bored! Im really looking forward to the nice weather so I can get into planting flowers and riding my bike.
Janet - Hi! Havent seen you here in awhile. I hope your son enjoyed himself.
