Why is the poison of heroin or crack called "medicine"?
You aren't taking your medicine, you're poisoning your body.
Why is it called being "high" when you're nodding off? Shouldn't it be called being "low" for a number of reasons, including the things you have to do to get the poison?
Why is buying poison called "scoring"? It should be called "losing."
Just some thoughts I had.

Wow........H.B..............never ever thought of it as such....good thinking, and observation.........seriously you could write a book about that and I am not kidding......you're right.
I never called dope my MEDICINE.......we did however when we were getting sick, and could only get enough to not get "high/Low" but just to keep from getting sick we called it our "Get Well Bag".......more like our "Keep Getting Sick Bag".
I never used the word "score"...that's a touchdown to me or a goal in hockey.
Cheerleader in me....I'd say I copped, and honestly I have no dang idea where that phrase came from.
A little funny thing though..........actually it's sad......our neighborhood is getting the drugs or at least more addicts.......the elderly people now here who never had to know a drug addict past "Man With The Golden Arm"......Frank Sinatra movie.........these elderly people now know the lady a block away is a crack addict.......I mean when your door opens so many times it fell off the hinges, and you're caught wrking in the back yard.....oh, please yes bring all your tricks to the yard, lady.........these older people know SOMETHING is wrong.
So, here my mom, and an elderly lady down the street are saying "That CRYSTAL LITE helps ya lose weight"............they're calling crystal meth the name of a drink......."Oh, yes that woman is back on the crystal lite".......then yesterday my other elderly neighbor is talking about how another neighbor is doing drugs, and are ya ready??????????? This 80 year old lady says to me
"I'm not going to DIME HER OUT"........I was like WHAT?????????????
They got the lingo down, and it's sad actually.......sad for everyone.

I recently rented this documentary called 'Methadonia'...filmed in my old homey town of NYC. stated that the new thing (well new to me)....was since addicts couldn't get high if they used heroin while they were on methadone as the same targeted receptors in the brain cancelled the individual high of both substances out...addicts were now using 'sticks' or benzos to create a similar high while on methadone instead of using heroin....
geez i don't understand...i thought methadone was used to curb the addiction of heroin so why are addicts trying to create the same high using something else...
