My cravings are getting the best of me yesterday i had 10 vics,im afraid this goinng to kill me and i dont want to leave my family this way.But i know this is going to fuc*ing kill me Ive let every one down and they dont now it yet. Brent

I went to my doc today and he uped all my meds cause of depresion.Cowgirl i have a wif an 2 beutiful daughters 6,12 they are my world when i see them it breaks my heart cause i know they need more than what im giving them.Today im starting over i dont know what to do.Love Brent

I agree go do something that you dont usually do.A walk?When you said that about your kids it kinda hit home.Lately Ive been thinking about all those years my girls had half a mom.Dont get me wrong I always took good care of my girls but I robbed them of the real me.And Im learning the real me is pretty cool.As hard as getting sober is the good things that you get are 10fold.
you sound like I use to.I would want to stop so bad than Id swallow a bunch of pills & then get mad at myself it was a circle only I could break.All of us on here can tell you its great being sober,that there is alot of good out there without drugs BUT until you take control of your addiction I dont think youll belive any of us.

You can do it...just make a change today..a meeting will put in touch with others going thru it...plz know that you can beat this..e are all pulling for you...Sharonn

Are you on any benzo's? If no and only opiates today is a perfect time to DO IT.

Do something that doesn't involve taking a pill. Go to a meeting. Find an NA or AA meeting in your area. There are no rules, no fees or dues. Just walk in, sit down and shut up. Listen to what others have to say. And then go again tomorrow. And the next. Keep going even if you're sick of the same stories, something will sink in every day.
Then I want you to call someone before you put a pill in your mouth. Do that everytime you think about putting a pill in your body.
Start with these two things. They are easy to do. Will you at least give it a try?

a meeting would be a great idea. All you would be doing is listening to other people talk about their experiences. They are not there to be better than you or to preach at you. all they want to do is help another addict/alcoholic because they were helped. they want to give it away or give it back. I dont want to yap about the pros and cons of meetings but its just a suggestion from cowgirl and others.if youre willing and want sobriety than it works. good luck
