Will Z Be Z Again After The Drug Wet

Z has been clean about 10 days and in a sober living but I'm worried
He will never come back from a recent drug. It's my understanding
It's called wet....and he smoked cigarettes dipped in embalming fluid.
I'm really scared because he still seems confused and told us the day he
Tried it ..,,he thought he had gone crazy.
Does anyone have any information? Can he come back from this?

P...wet...is the old "angels dust " ....pcp....might take a bit for him to get back to himself. ..hoping this is one drug he stays away from. ...

It was bad. He was in middle of street taking clothes off and laying
Down saying he was dying. He thought he was going crazy. Even a few
Days ago I was talking to him on the phone and all of a sudden he said
"I don't know who you are" and hung up on me. I'm worried about the
Long term affects.

I understand P....and I'm so sorry. ..angels dust or its derivative can seriously mess you up...not much you can do but wait it out and pray he comes round...it's a bad trip...I hope to hell he never plays with it again...I've seen some crazy stuff back when that crap was again on the street...read up on pcp if you can....get some info on it....I only have ever seen it's effects...don't know much about its long term. .one of the very few drugs I have stayed away from...I'm hoping he'll be ok ...might take some time....maybe check out the drug forum and ask one of the "chemists" there...

I pray that he is serious about getting sober but
Between meth and this...it's bad stuff.

Gosh . . .haven't heard of PCP in a long long time. I guess what is old is new again . . .that's why it has a new name. Wet.

Don't know anyone who used it so I googled too. A lot of scary stuff about it. I'm so sorry. Sending hugs of comfort. But from what I saw, only regular users need to worry about frying their brains permanently. From what you've said Z seems to only have been on this for a little while . . .a few days or weeks, at best . . .probably not long enough for him to have permanent effects.

Did I miss something, Paula? Did hospital find that he has mental health challenges, too? Did they prescribe anything? Is he seeing a therapist? Could his mental health issues be influencing his behavior?

I hope and pray that this run is his last . . .that he learned from this not to mess with PCP, at least . . .and that he develops a burning desire to get & stay clean from all drugs.

I don't know what the hospital found because the Dr would not talk to me since he is 21 yrs old.
I'm so frustrated. He was taken to the Sober Living Friday after begging for help and I just found out that he left Saturday night. He went back to the place that was so bad. I'm sick!!!! And
Done. Not a Penney from me and if he wants helpbyhen he can find it. I love him so much but
I'm jumping off the roller coaster.

Paula -- my heart is saddened for you cause I know how badly you wanted Z to change his life! We all do--but nothing you have done has worked so far and just maybe by the grace of God this will work if you "jump off the roller coaster"!

Oh Lord . . .I'm so sorry Paula that Z keeps making bad decisions. But . . .this WAS his decision . . .his choice. You gave him an option . . .a good option . . .he doesnt want that now. I know it is hard to accept. Here's a huge hug. Praying that God protects Z. Praying that God allows you to accept His plan for Z's life and to trust His plan for your life.

paula, so sorry for the pain you are feeling. this must be agonizing for you - at the least.
it is crazy how strong those drugs are. they ARE poisons, they DO poison our people. I dont understand how it is allowed to go on, over and over. the government keeps shutting down behavioral health organization, hospitals, clinics, etc. trump needs to clean up the swamp in our streets!
