I am not a doctor either. However, I can tell you Ia m about 99% sure she is in withdrawl. Methadone is very strong I was addicted to it for 2 1/2 years and only took 10 mg a day. It was aliving hell to get off of and the withdrawls were unbearable. I don't really know how I ever survived it to be quite honest. At home alone at that. I took a long time to feel"normal again and for the withdrawl to stop. It is very painful. If her doctor had her on it and then just switched her to Norco that is ridiculous. That is like smoking crack and then switching to smoking a joint after being hooked for months. Know what I mean? Your still going to withdrawl from the crack and the weed isn't going to take a way the pain all together!! How many mg's was your wife taking of methadone a day? Also did her doctor wean her down to a safe very low dose of it before giving her norco's? I would discuss this with the doctor and hopefully he can help her. So many doctor's get you on the pain meds and sure don't know what the heck they are doing when it comes to weaning you off or helping you to quit. Her doctor should have givin her some Catapress patches(clonodine) to help with the withdrawl and help control her blood pressure... Best of luck to her. Tell her to take some benadryl at night for sleep and leg cramps. Motrin 800mg during the day for pain in between taking the norco's. Hot bathes and try to get through it until talking to the doctor... If I can help in anyway let me know... Rae
