Withdrawal Questions

i'm over 5 wks clean and i still feel nauseated alot and have diarrhea. how long will this go on? did many of you gain weight while on pills? i have gained alot over the years while on vicodin and have lost approx. 20 lbs. in 5 weeks. i need to lose, but i'm tired of being nauseated. please give experiences thanks
Hi Blue...I know how hard this is...for me I seriously did not feel right for about 10 weeks..and even then I don't think I felt real good. I was sick and tired for most of the time..I tried everything...exercise helped..I went to a homeopath doctor...ate tons of vitamins and even then was not well.

I think its different with everyone some bounce back quicker..while with others it lingers a while..and then you just realize that your not feeling too bad anymore. Remember how long you did drugs and be patient the course is slow and steady! I am very impressed with your determination and losing 20lbs consider it a bonus..now that its gone..build upon it. Do some good things for your body...drink tons of water and eat fresh fruit and veggies....I would consider taking something for tummy troubles....imodium was a life saver for me.

I also hope you are considering a recovery program...quitting if you can believe this is the easy part...lol...you are definitely on your way!

I relapsed so many times because I could not shake the w/d....please be patient and be good to yourself your sobriety is right there...fight ok....maybe an anti D.....most think that when you stop eating pills that you should immediately return to your former self..that just doesnt happen and its perhaps a good thing...look what happened anyway...how about a new self!!

Keep it up....you are amazing!! Don't give up before the miracle happens...and trust me it will.
Blue, kee-kee is right. Everyone is different. Some say they felt better in 3 days, some say it took them a month etc. For me it took alot longer. I remember coming here reading people post hang in there it does get better and I was like ya right, but I hung in there and they were right. Hang in there. Shantel
