Pink girl...get something for the pain that wont give u another habit if u can and hot baths...immodium and prepare for 3 to 4 days of feeling like u have food poisoning on top of the flu...drink lots of water as much as u can ...and just know it doesn't last forever...it's the time after the kick that will be the hardest ..good luck...lots of good info here on this...stay as positive as u can...
I helped my son with withdraw. He took advil every 4 hours, benedryl, immodium, and drank Gatorade. Take the medicine in the least amount of time recommended. It was like watching hell. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but it is possible if you want it. Good luck...try to stay positive and get thru one hour at a time, don't look at the long road ahead just try to get thru another hour. Then be positive because you made it thru another one.

My son went through withdrawal at home, a couple of times. It got progressively worse. The first time, I didn't know what was going on. He just seemed "regular sick" - had a semi-rough couple of days and then was fine. Several months later, he detoxed at home and I stayed with him. It was bad. We'd gone to his therapist and asked what to expect. Immodium is supposed to help, but I don't know about that. It was really horrible. I don't know if we're allowed to post links on here. So I'll say: Google "how to quit heroin cold turkey" that's how we found some information we thought would help him get through. He was very very cold. Hot showers helped. Get a lot of blankets, too. he went thru this in the winter, maybe the symptom of being cold won't be as bad this time of year, I don't know. If at all possible, try to get into a medical detox. A nurse will monitor you and you'll be given rx for nausea, etc.
