when we as a group all had postive input for someone and always listen to what others had to say. what has happen? its like there are little clicks here now. i remember when i first found this board i was so desperate for help and there was a line of people with POSITIVE input and wanted to help. i remember one night littlebeach needed mojor support and myself and a few others stayed up with her to give her moral support, and now its like oh well you did this to yourself so you fix it. when i first got there were a bunch of people roger, terriannn, rea73, silent partner, littlebeach and a few other that no matter how bad there day was they were gonna try the hardest to make yours easier. now its just the opposite, seems as if people now just want to see people break here, and its sad. the names and hateful things need to stop. We are ALL here for a reason and that is to help our fellow man while he helps us.. this board looks like a bunch of counselors arguing about who has the better answer and then get pissed if stepped over. once again just a thought from me.

I've been here over a year now and really I don't see anything different. Even when I first got here people always claimed there were certain cliches. The arguements would break out time to time. Nothing different at all. Just like now things will calm down again. Far as people ready to help. I see a lot of people here that give support. Whenever I need it there is always somebody here willing to give it to me.

I have not been here too long, but have seen drastic changes. When I first posted, people gave me so much advice and many words of wisdom. That meant so much to me, I was in desperate need. But now it seems that my posts are mostly overlooked. I kinda feel like the uncool kid on the playgroud. I don't belong to any cliques, and mostly stay away from the drama. People complain about all of the conflict here and claim to try and avoid it. But I think rather than avoiding it, they are drawn to it. Last night I started a thread "Need advice for my sis". This is something I am agonizing over. As of now, 2 people have responded (thank you both) and it has 67 views. On the same night there were 2 locked threads. One of them has 819 views and the other has 134. The thread titled "Cowgirl is gone" has 1245 views. Yes I understand many people care about her, but some of the people reading that thread are just drawn to the drama. I'm rambling, but my point is that people respond to new people posting for the first time, they respond to their friends, and they respond to anything dramatic or controversial. Everyone else seems to get lost in the shuffle. I'm not talking about anyone individually, just the board as a whole. That's just my opinion. And to the people who this does not apply to, THANK YOU.
When I started almost 5 months ago, thought everything was perfect. Happy I got clean and over the W/D's before I saw different sides of some. We are all different, diffrerent personalities, opinions, we are not all going to get along.
That would be wonderful mostly for a recovery board.
However, whoever it may be, if I'm on the board and a person needs help, I'll be there until...unless they tell me to leave.
I would love for the board to be like that - I had said the same - used the word "again" then heard that board has always been the same, a smart person, wish I could remember who told me that the board is what I make it. My choice to ignore the negative post, try and help the ones who are asking for it. Also, just to have some fun sometimes.
There are a lot of wonderful people here, you remembered some names.
They would do the same again and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be there as long as it took.
