THis is awesome! I was just wondering why they didn't have a methadone board...question answered (or I should say now obsolete). I look forward to checking in on this board regularly... YEAH!!!

I dont know if you are sort of in charge or have a lot of say because you have been here so long but if this "doctor" keeps on posting negative things he is going to undo all the good work you guys have done on all the relevant topics. He depresses me deeply.

WOW ! To everyone from all sites who helped make this site possible.............
As some of you know I was gone yesterday to pick up my 14 yr old grandaughter from Nevada/Utah area to bring her back to Calif. It ended 17 mos of trying to have her back in our home where she grew up and we will be applying for guardianship , with her moms blessing,in the upcoming weeks.Mom has M.S. and its getting increasingly difficult for her to care for my GD. (Her twin brother is next) We left at 4am thurs morning and got home at 3am this morning,Fri. 24 hrs of almost no-stop driving. Husband helped a little. It was a long tiring,yet wonderful trip and not one I want to make again anytime soon. Being on methadone seems to affect my ability to drive LONG distances along with my age but it was well worth the trip. Slept a few hours and will be loopy all day but after a bowl of mini wheats, a nap and a good nights sleep I'll be ready to tackle being a "new "parent to a teenager.
ANYWAY!!! My reason for that story was to share but also to tell you all ....it seems in the ONE day I didnt, and couldnt post, the directors added the Methadone category on the board I have been trying to get added. Jack sort of gave me the heads up,I had NO idea, and when I checked the site,there it was!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great end to my day.
I want to thank every one of you for your votes and good thoughts which I'm sure showed the Mods and directors this site was needed and will be used. Thanks to you too Mods!!
I want to personally thank Marsha Handel ,a co-founder of this site,for taking the time to listen to the things we all had to say and for considering my request in the first place. Hopefully it will become a huge site and will benefit people already on methadone and quickly become a good, honest and informative site for people to come to when they have questions pertaining to methadone.
Now we need to pull for Kat256 and the site she would like to see added. Families/Partners of Alcoholics.
