Arg! I'm having a flashback to the Memorial Fieldhouse in Huntington W/Va. Wakefield has just come out of a key board solo into Roundabout. I was never the same. I could go on but I am getting dangerously close to romancing an era that did not wind up well for me.
Often in recovery, I think of the line, "Seasons will pass you by."
August
August, you are a little "Close to the Edge" on that one... ;-)
Misty and Sugar- Very few people do..I've been a fan for 30 years..I suppose it's just another addiction..
Could that be classified a "good" addiction? LOL
Yes.....that would be a good addiction as long as you don't entertain any thoughts or memories from the concerts you attended. Ok, so you remember and then tell youself to forget real fast.
Misty- The '70's were a long time ago. Let's not even go there. Not that I remember much..hehe
Ok guys, i was born in '76, so I can't say that I've been to a concert of theirs, but I have all of the CDs! Of course, there are triggers associated with that, too. I think I encounter triggers every day over the smallest things! It's terrible. I just wipe it out of my mind as soon as it pops in. I tell myself, "Jessica, you don't do that anymore!" You guys are great. Thanks for being here. I can truly call you friends. Love, Jess
The last time I saw Yes was in 1984........they were in town 2 times that year I was there both times......first date with the hubby the first time they came, the second time a few months later we were engaged. I could never forget!
I also saw Yes - I was a big concert goer, growing up in Miami. Too bad at that time ( late 70's, early 80's) I was so stoned most of the time that I barely remember the concerts:o(
