To Everyone,
I haven't posted in a couple of days but i just wanted to say that I can't believe its been 10 days clean from the hydro. I still get a little tired in the afternoon but other than that i feel fine. Unfortunately i still take .75 mg of xanax at night if i can't go to sleep but thats down from 2 mg in a 24 hour period so i think its coming along nicely. I do not take the xanax during the day nor do i need to and I think tonight i'm going to see if otc unisom or something like it might help me since i do not have to work tomorrow.Any advice woild be greatly appreciated. Am i doing the right thing for the xanax? I went from 2 mg, 1.5 mg, 1 mg and now to .75 mg a day. Would prefer not to take anything else other than over the counter meds.
I hope everyone is doing great today because we all deserve to be healthy and its our choice on how we get there. If you are just now starting believe me it does get better so just hang in there and keep up the hard work and you will receive the outcome you're looking for.

Sounds like your doing good, and sounds like a good idea to try and get through tonight without the xanax. Good luck, I'll say a prayer for you. Well, it's
off to make lunch and try and work on a few tunes while my wife and kids hit the store for Halloween stuff. I might even crank up the amp. lol

I'm with Bob and None on this one. You sound like you are doing really well. Anytime that you can decrease the dose of an opioid or, in your case, a benzodiazepine, is fantastic.
If you can get through the night with doxylamine or diphenhydramine, instead of alprazolam, that would be even better!
You are defintely on the right track. I huge KUDOS for being 10 - almost 11 - days clean.

I really appreciate the replys and all the encouragement you have given me. I am going to try sominex tonight and see how it goes. As long as i go low and slow that will be fine with me. Tomorrow is 11 days but i'm glad i went through it so that I could remember how nasty it was and I how I will never go back to it. I am clean and it feels really good. We need to be able to face our fears and our ups and downs in life because if we don't how can we tell that we are truely happy. I read your thread and I hope you are feeling ok. Sounds as if you have made up your mind and are going for it.Good for you. I did get a lttle worried but I figured you went into detox. I'm sure you surgery will go just fine and things will now start to get alot better for you.
Yep tomorrow is day 12 for me and I am feeling great! Not back to full power totally but getting there day by day. As far as the xanax thing I'm now taking .75 at night if I need to sleep but thats down from 2mg which I thought was good.I hope to be off those in the next week or two.
Anyway glad to see you are back and are doing well.

TH- .75 at night to sleep won't kill you. Like I said, just finish off the Vic's and if it's only .75 on the Xanax, get a good sleep aid and then quit those...even detox gives you valium to sleep..
