hi ppl,well im 2 weeks clean,piling the weight on and doing pretty good.
still not sleeping propley,need to get out the house more,as i seem to get bored alot,i need to find ways of keeping my mind busy.
hey paul, glad to hear about your two weeks, thats a major step dude. You're probably not going to sleep well for a while, but you CT'd it so it's not as bad as if you were coming off of methadone, you still wouldn't be sleeping at all! Good luck man!
Alright, Paul.....good for you man......two weeks is great.....ya feel a little better in two weeks....now ya keep going....just keep on going, and you'll see it gets easier......yeah the sleep thing.......HATED IT.....as long as you know though it don't come, and don't freak....kind of just go with it......that helps.

U rock paul...so proud of ya !!.........you made it through the hardest part...not sleeping sucks though, but little by little it will come back......now ya got to find some kind of support system to help ya throught the mind f*cks..cos they will come......keep posting on here....there r so many grat people on here who give the best advice

Great job paul! I have about the same clean time in. Yea, sleep don't come easy as I find myself abusin Klonopin and Ambien. My next addiction to beat. Please don't pick up again. Drugs can take you in to bad places as i was pistol whipped over the head with a fractured skull an blood on my brain. I'm out of work and strugilin just to get food in the house. We just have to remember the pain and we don't ever have to feel like that again.

Hey Rocco, good Luck with the Klonopin man, you've kicked the opiates, you can do this one too! I've never heard of ambien abuse before, but I have heard of people using the stuff that's in Tylenol PM's to get high, maybe the same thing?

As you can tell this insomnia is killin me! It's 6am already! The Klon an Ambien aren't helping anymore. My body is exausted but my mind is wide awake! The tylnol pm makes me nervous and then I wake with a drug hangover. This sucks, Can't wait til I'm able to sleep right again.

Hey Rocco, yeah you might be like that for a while man. When I was comming off of methadone, I would take Tylenol Pm's like a madwoman, still no sleep just made me feel horrible like comming down off of an acid trip. You'll get sleep eventually, but unfortunatley the more you think about not sleeping the more you're mind will race.

Congrats, Congrats, 2 wks. in- keep it up,mate...Yes the insomnia always was my big problem too, and not to sound like a fanatic, but are you eating a lot of sugar? Too much sugar can (in some folks) produce the same signs of chilling out as dope does.Are you able to do some exercise? Try just walking, first 15 min.(time yourself) in one direction, 15 min. back,then work your way up to longer times, so hopefully you get a full 40 min. per day.The exercise will help your natural endorphins come on line sooner-your opiate use has put them outta whack.Your adrenaline is flooding your system as well, & you need to get the excess outta yr. system.Exercise will do that. I always say walking but if you have a bicycle,skateboard, anything to get moving. It may sound dreadful @ first but you try it. You may even get a bit of a buzz from it, a "runner's high"-THAT is the best.Good luck to you. I know whereof I speak, I've been messed up for 20 yrs. & chilled many times.Exercise,Dude!!
