20 Months Of Sobriety Today!

Hey Everyone, I have 20 months of sobriety today (and clean time too)!!! Woohoo! I'm working through some stuff with my Sponsor which is painful, but thank God for the steps and just knowing that this too shall pass...I'm healing, cleaning up the wreckage of my past and I know relief is insight. Finding myself very sad last night and this morning...crying a lot...God didn't bring me this far to drop me...thanks for all of your support! Peace & Serenity

Thank you everyone for the replies and the comments. I posted my "time" so others know that there is hope and a better way of living out there one day at time. Really, if I can do it, so can any of you. Truthfully, I thought I would die a drunk/addict woman, but God saw fit for me to have another chance at it...life, that is. So, I am grateful for my sobriety, however, I'm still sad and crying off and on...this too shall pass. Really, getting down to business and taking action and working the Steps is not always easy, I admit, but coming out the other end well, like it says in the book "we shall know and new freedom and a new happiness"...the fact that I am sober, no longer held in bondage by drugs and alcohol is truly amazing...thank God for the 12 Step Program that I am a member of...like I've said in the past, I tried everything, I mean everything to get sober for 20 years and until I surrendered and turned my will and my life over to the care of God (as I understand him) nothing changed. Only, until I did this was I able to receive this gift. Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I'm gonna head off to the 6:45 am Attitude Adjustment meeting...Peace & Serenity, VWGirl
