I have been sober 20 weeks today. Never ever thought I get this far. The cravings come less and less and I am so grateful that I don't have hangovers and I can remember the things I do and say.I am beginning to live a new kind of life and every day is a blessing . It's beginning to work for me guys!. I certainly appreciate all the support I have gotten on this board. Could never have gotten this far without you guys. Thank you all so much for being a part of my recovery. you all are like my recovery family on here .You are all very near and dear to me. You also are very dear to me. I'm so happy that you are feeling better. Seeing more positive rewards with continued sobriety. One is having a clearer mind. But the best one is your alive and learning to live life on life's terms. Your journey also strengthens my recovery. Watching you through the good and bad is also a blessing for me. It's not that I enjoy seeing your struggles, because I don't. It's just that your road has been hard and yet, you keep going. You keep fighting the good fight. Leaning on God for strength. Being grateful for many things. Pirate you deserve to live life with all it's ups and downs the way it's suppose to be lived without the crutch of alcohol. As you know for us alcoholic's it's only a crutch for a brief time. Then it becomes a wheel chair, then were in the gutter face down. Thank God today we are walking without those crutches.
You, we don't have to live that way anymore one day at a time! I'm so happy you found, chose recovery. Happy it found you. Happy you found this site. Happy you have a great sponsor. I'm so happy you have 5 months of sobriety and it's becoming a little easier. Enjoy today because no matter what's going on theres always something we can be grateful for. But today enjoy and do something special just for you! You've earned lady!
