As I read through posts and replies, I realize that we are the experts on this disease. I feel it very important that we stick together!! I am young yet, and have generations below me that are still niaeve...I have been resisting the urge to take on responsibility for my life, and enroll in school. I think I've just found the end to my resistance........Who better to counsel than someone who has seen it first hand........Who better to understand than someone who has been at the gates of hell...METH IS TAKING OVER OUR COUNTRIES YOUTH LIKE WILDFIRE...IT HAS A RECOVERY RATE OF ONLY 6%.......Our hospitals and family doctors have not a clue on how to help overcome..Our country as a whole is going to suffer from this epidemic!! I will be enrolled in college for psychology by the 1st of the year....and I will rise above.......and as I sit and watch my little one play...I think of the withdrawal I should be experiencing..I think of that bag of dope I once veiwed as sunshine....and I say to it....I AM BETTER THAN YOU...I NO LONGER NEED YOU...I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO OVERCOME YOU, AND HELP OTHERS DO THE SAME!

I wish you the best of luck. Fight the good fight and you will make it. I am in recovery for 5 1/2 years now and one way I stay there is helping others. I am Addiction Treatment Specialist and my passion is helping people to learn how to change their life. RECOVERY HAPPENS.... Stay motivated and believe in yourself.
