Can anyone suggest other addiction/recovery message boards as good as this one?

If you think that a 12 step program could work for you..The PA site is the one for you, This is restrictly a 12 step program and does not offer any help with immediate withdrawals etc..other than support and encouragement to go to a meeeting.No talk of taking OTC meds to help with w/d/ etc...
It is an easy site to navigate and there are some long time members there truly believ this methods saved thier lives...

theres another one i found yesterday by ezboards...nmuch less professional than this and people put their pictures up there, this site was moved from another place several yesars ago and run by an online Dr, It is where thatTHOMAS recipe for withdrawl came from ( L-tyrosine, Vitamni b, gatorade, immodium etc.....) Its not as nice as this one is in my opinion...theres supposed to be LOTS out there...finding them can be tricky if like me you dont use computer well LOLOL

Heroin-Detox.com is more like this.Open topics.They do have a pain pill section.I notice some of the members here go there.
eartgroup.org seems a little more serious and they also have chat rooms and live meetings.
Its an o.k. board.Theres a chic there I cant handle, shes an Na nazi and I think one of the moderators.If its something she doesnt like,she delets it immediately.My sponsor goes there but I think he just likes to torment her.LOL
No names, so Im not gossiping.Although its hard.
There are also some really good sobriety there.Long term.
Heroin-detox has way too many moderators and they like to fight amoung themselves.That can be fun to watch.90% of the moderators are women.I have seen some pretty vicious cat fights.Ignore them.Look for the topics that spark your interest.

I have not searched for any other message boards because I like this one. For thoses of you who have visited other boards, how do they compare to this one. Is this one your favorite??? Just curious. Atlas

Im in vancouver, after 6 hours driving through a snowstorm...anyway in answer to your question; i think ...YES this is the best board.
Dont know any other board that gives such support, offers IMMEDIATE help for both physical and mental w/d/ symptoms...I dont know about you but when i was having severe withdrawal I did not want to be told to just go to a meeting...i couldnt even get my butt outside to pick up my newspaper let alone get dressed, and head off to a meeting..People here address your immediate problem, and most do not pass judgement on the path you choose to use to find recovery, whether it be 12 step or alterante methods.
PA board for example Have some onderful onderful people, but they are not ALLOWED to give medical directions for even over the counter meds or even vitamins that can give immediate help.
