You guys don't even want to know the wonderful food I ate in New York this last weekend.....I would weigh 80000000000 lbs if I lived in a city with access to food like that. I did not have any spam though. Shucks, sounds like I missed out.
Spam...is a staple here in Hawaii....its the only state where I am sure that Costco stocks it by the 40lb case!

Never ate the stuff myself...don't like pork much...however what I have learned...like lisa I always thought spam was the bi procucts of various animals...nope...its pure pork...and it lean...there are no bums and lips in spam. Just sounds like it...lol
Poor spam is getting a bad rap....Anybody eat McDonalds? You'd be amazed at what they consider 100% beef <beg>
Carol

Always fun to wake up to a thread with your name on it and find someone giving you hell for something.lol

I truly think you misunderstood my post Carol..

Please note that i said "Whatever reason the DR thought he had to dump her..i wasnt blaming her or saying whatever reason SHE had..big difference..i was upset at the Drs actions..not hers..

On the other post you spoke of perhaps I was to blame..it didnt come out right i agree...

I was trying to say that as someone that DOES know everyone here, i felt shocked that she would not accept the help that was being offered, nor had she responded to Atlas's post at that time...I tried to say that perhaps her NOT knowing Atlas she had erred in not responding, because there was no one id rather have on my side more if i needed help with something like that...

There were others that are knowledgable and that offered help after that but at the time i was reacting to the fact that Atlass offer to handle it for her went un answered..

i agree it came out wrong and so to Summer if your reading i apologize for that..I didnt mean to sound obnoxious or rude by any means...

Other then that...

Its Tuesday, my eye is so sore from being poked with that branch that i may have to go to the eye Dr today..its as bright red as blood ...i look like a monster..doesnt hurt or anything...hopefully it isnt serious..just looks ugly..

Hope everyone is well

Thanks for bringing my attention to that Carol..

hugs

Ali
I found myself squinting when you described that eyeball...sounds like it would hurt.

Did you hear about the $100 cup of coffee? Read it and weep.

Kopi Luwak is a rare and gourmet coffee from Indonesia that is made from beans passed through the digestive system of monkeys.

Kopi Luwak does exist, is very expensive, and is made from coffee beans passed through the digestive system of an Indonesian animal, but it's more like a cat than a monkey. According to a feature article by the Manila Coffee House, which sells the stuff, the people who harvest the digested beans don't really have to pick through cat litter to get it. The animal processes the beans and excretes them whole, unscratched, and without dung.

The animal is a palm civet, a dark brown tree-dwelling cat-like creature found throughout Southeast Asia. The scientific name is paradoxurus hermaphroditus.

According to the Manila Coffee House, the palm civet just happens to like to ingest the ripest and reddest coffee beans, which also happen to be the ones best for brewing. The cat eats the outer covering of the beans in the same way that is accomplished by de-pulping machines. Something happens to the beans in the journey through the cat's intestines that gives it a flavor that is celebrated by coffee drinkers.
