"question And Answer"

"question and answer"
he sat naked and drunk in a room full of summer
night, running the blade of the knife
under his fingernails, smiling, thinking
of all the letters he had recieved
telling him that
the way he lived and wrote about
that--
it had kept them going when
all seemed
truly
hopeless.

putting the blade on the table, he
flicked it with a finger
and it whirled
in a flashing circle
under the light.

who the hell is going to save
me? he
thought.

as the knife stopped spinning
the answer came:
you're going to have to
save yourself.

still smiling,
a: he lit a
cigarette
b: he poured
another
drink
c: he gave the blade
another
spin.

Ok.Q&As.....Doh.
I found a really cool web-site. I don't know how to put the link up but it's bukowski.com. They have a message board too. What's great is they have lot's of his work on-line. Some of it's supposed to be unpublished. You should check it out. There are lot's of photographs also. They even have copies of his FBI files and his arrest reports.
Peace,
Shirley
Thanks..very much..Shirley..i will be deff.searching for that one bout the man himself..F.B.I files!!!!!brilliant.Take care&was i right with B.as an answer?...Davey
I would probably go with "c", but Hank probably "b". I have another good Bukowski poem. I'll put it in a new post later. I try to pick poems that relate to addiction for this message board. That's pretty easy to do with Bukowski. I would've liked to have met him. I probably would've got in a fight with him!! LOL
peace,
Shirley
