hey everyone
good morning! question: i have edema that started in rehab, thought it was from sitting all day in classes, because my ankles and calves swelled up to twice their normal size.
saw my gp when i got home and he cant explain the swelling as all my blood work was good, they give me fluoresimide (water pill) and i have been plagued with this problem since
yesterday i saw my endocrinoligist for my 3 mos diabetes check up and asked him what he thought could be causing the swelling.
hw said it could be medication i am taking so we went thru my list of meds and he eliminated all the drugs i take for diabetes as the culprit. that left paxil , my sleep meds and suboxone. i have been on paxil for years no problem, as anyone had a problem of swelling with suboxone?
my tatoo on ankle is so stretched out from the swelling,

push your doctor to do and ekg and ECHO on your heart.
if its not your heart.........
then your body is retaining water because your not giving your body enough.
are you drinking enough water jewels?
seriously............i know your a goer and you need to rest, drink water consistantly and stick to it, just be faithful to the water and see what happens...
i think you need to put your feet up and wait about 30 minutes or so and i bet you will pee alot.
water can act as a diruretic..............jewels...........drink water more and do it every day and carry a water bottle with you.......
and i bet you'll be peeing this water off your legs honey....try it...

I posted awhile back about this same problem. I have also had alot of testing done.My swelling is in my left leg only. My addicton specialist switched me from suboxone to subutex thinking that might help,so far no improvement.I dont no what to do anymore. I guess I might be weaning off sooner than I had Hoped.Good Luck and if you find any answers let me know. Thanks
