Hi Mike...quit thanking us...lol...were all in the same boat here pretty much...ya know what they say...i might have a whole lot more in me to go use but i sure as hell haven't got many recoveries left...or something like that...kind of how i felt when i finally got my a** in gear and decided enough was enough...i was 45-46 when i knew it was just time... don't let all the other crap talk you into delaying stuff or putting like ...well if this happens, i'll go do this...and if this doesn't ...then this... that's just the addict talking in your head and coming up with excuses and delays and...oh...everything it can think of...i thought i was smarter than the doc too...decided i was just going to quit the methadone and tell him to go to hell...figured i was cured...whoa...talk about humbled...not even close...crawled back in and got back on my dose...still crawling...cuz i need to go back in and get it adjusted...climb back out of my hole and get on my normal dose...im the best procrastinator on the planet sometimes...glad to hear you got back on the subs and ya...taking them as prescribed...thats always a challenging one too...guess you've got to be done...final...give yourself no way out and no more excuses....hey, dont just check out of here though..come back when you can and talk... believe me, we need you just as much as you need us...truth...sending you some good vibes to get you through the rattle...hang in there...

I am doing well today. I awoke bright and early for the second day in a row, and that feels great. I am going to spend some time today figuring out my bills and budget, and figure out how I am going to catch up. I am sticking to taking the subs as they were originally prescribed. Seems to have me straightened out for now. I will not be able to leave my house until Tuesday as I am broke, so I will keep myself busy, and check in here from time to time. Starting Tuesday I will rejoin my local NA group, and try something different like reach out and ask for help...............uh I think honestly we will have to wait and see about that, but I will participate.
By the way I meet with Branch Manager on Thursday to go over salary, benifits, written offer, and the responsabilities of my position. I will start orinentation on Monday 11/07
I still feel worn out and one of my legs is cramped up to beat the band, and buggin me but nothin motrin can't handle.
I will check in either tonight or tomorrow morning.

If your so 'Smart do you not get that an addict /alcoholic cannot be told what to do--suggestions yes but the person must take the first action by themselves IMO-Bump Bump Bump--i read that and some kid told me you got any bumps its a cocaine slang I was 20+yrs never heard of Bumps--In our day we got high??

IMO my mistake was not listening--sober 2+yrs steps 1-2-3--quit sponsor never did 4-5-12--these steps probably would have kept me sober--along with a home group and commitments--
Just going to meetings does not work--it took 20 to make it back to the rooms--
You thing I want to wake up to make coffee in 3 hours --I still fight with going to meetings But I am going each day--and last week worked with my sponsor the Dr opinion--and he said by the way you have coffee at this meeting That I have never even been to--But he tells me I listen-I f he needs a drive to his work I do it--I am willing to do anything he tells me. That's a miracle.
Papa Bear he is 29yrs old --I am 49--he was 2+yrs sober doing great and some garbage truck hit him and he is fighting to get better-1 yr of pain and procedures this is what i need--His pain his recovery his positive attitude and he is a good kid--But he has a cane and walks and talks to me everyday --he is an old timer--not a pigeon coup like a lot of old timers I found years ago--called me a pigeon--Nothing better to do--??JMHO and experience old man
