As we know "our"Sharon has gone into detox.I spoke with her the day before & it hurt so bad that I wasnt able to take that trip with her if for nothing else just moral support.
Anyways Id like very much to have people come & post here with prayers & well wishes.I think when she does come back it will help her know just how special she is too all of us

Although you won't see this until you return from rehab, I just wanted to let you know that I stand back in awe of the incredible amount of courage it has taken you to embrace recovery.
The serenity prayer comes to mind:
You are changing what you can and this is what miracles are made of...a shift in our perception from a negative to a positive. I remember Sharon when I went to detox/rehab and was so consumed with guilt and shame of the behavior that surrounded my addiction. I hope you are not feeling this, because it really stood in the way of what I needed to learn/hear. The professionals at the rehab center were terrific in helping me realize that I no longer had to carry this burden with me.
I remember asking one of the counselors there "how" does this recovery stuff work. She looked at me and said: "Sammy, your answer is in your question." To which I replied, what? She went on to say that the word "how" stands for an acronym in recovery circles with h = honesty; o - open mindedness; and w = willingness. Sounds kind of simple, doesn't it Sharon? And it really is once we are willing to go to any length for our recovery.
What a beautiful gift you are giving yourself - the gift of recovery. I'm honored and blessed to be "trudging" the road to happy destiny with you. You are not alone, my friend, and you are love. Don't you ever forget that.
