Rae, I smoked a total of almost 6 cigs yesterday. I went to smoke my last one, took 3 drags and trashed it.
I went for that sleep study last night and didn't sleep worth a flip so when I got home I crawled back into bed and slept another 3 hours.
I am feeling sooooo positive about this quit! This is it!

I still have to hose down the butts outside, but I don't anticipate any problems. I've had 2 cups of coffee and not one craving. Once I get up and moving I will take care of that.
Janet did you hose down or throw away those butt's yet? LOL You know I had to ask. You don't need them around you at all. Your a non-smoker now.

Well, today IS the day, for sure this time. I stayed up all night and finished my pack. I could have flushed them. I have 2 left, and I have gotten rid of all the butts and ashtrays, and the 2 will be gone before my head hits the pillow. I bought 4 weeks of patches and opened all the boxes! No taking them back or selling them on eBay. If I don't use them, then I just threw away $80...and I'm NOT doing that!
I also bought 2 weeks worth of patches for my dad. He has been on zyban and going to quit any day now, but never sets the day, so it never comes. I know he wants to because he is only buying a pack at a time instead of his usual 3 cartons. I'm just going to keep sending them to him. If he doesn't quit, he's going to feel guilty looking at all those patches! LOL He says he's ready.
If either of us fail---which we WON'T---we are going on chantix! Today is the day! Ask me tomorrow how day one was. I'm really ready this time.
