August, thank you so much for the post. I have printed it and hung it on my fridge. What an inspiration! I have called N/A and will be attending one tomorrow. You are such a strong person! People like you will get me through this because I am determined. I know exactly what youmean by the initial enthusiasm. I was so happy when I first got over my withdrawals, then about a week later, I crashed and all I wanted was a pill. I got through that somehow and I'm still fighting. I'm so afraid that a situation will come up and I won't say no. I pray nightly and hopefully God will give me the strength I need. Thanks again! Jessica
Good luck, Jessica. Just remember, one day at a time. It took me awhile before I found a meeting that I felt comfortable with, but I was determined to be undeterred. Our strength comes from our participation in meetings and later, in our faith in a higher power.
