B-12 And Sex Drive?

Hi all,

I have a very odd question, I am going on 4 months clean now. I started taking B-12 everyday. I read here that it gives you energy. Well let me ask this stupid question, does it also increase your sex drive????????????? Sounds crazy, but before I could have cared less if I did it or not, now seems like I want it all the time,,,,,,,,,,he he. Could it be the B-12, or is it all in my head?

Might be just that fact that you stopped the pills.......and that you had all those years of feelings pent up. Your making up for lost time....lol
I noticed a big change in my husband when he stopped taking the pills....Can't complain I am just glad he is back!

It is not so much the B12. It is mostly cause you are clean. I KNOW ALL
ABOUT THIS ONE !!! Trust me my hubby is going nuts. You where numb
when you were using now you can feel your body more and more every day

BTW, I am so glad you posted about that. I think men get it back a lot faster than us women do !

thanks, hey jacky, just go to the grocery store, he he.............my boyfriend is enjoying it, so I really can not complain, i just found it kind of funny, and very interesting. It sure is great getting my life back after abuseing for so many years. I thought I would never ever feel any way normal. But I was wrong, I feel great, and better and better everyday.

Just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone.. I take the B-12 sublingual Lozenges- 1000 mcg everyday. They dissolve under your tongue. I usually spit it out about half way disloved because a woman only needs about 500mcg a day. Anyway, yes they give me energy. As far as the sex thing goes, well let's just say I have 3 kids and that's not always easy. Anyway, take care! Rae

Well, I have been taking B50 for over 30 days..........what the vitamin may be giving, I fear the Prozac is taking away..........unfortunately for hubby and me!

Does ANYONE know of an anti-depressant that does not affect sex drive?

SOOOO true, your so use to being numb and not wanted it , that know its all comming back to ya!! have fun!!!! hehe

I think its a combination of the B12 and no pills, because my sex drive has been through the roof...my poor wife hehe
