Back To Recovery Anyone?

Hi,
Just got home from my meeting. It was a good one, ( they all are ) my speaker tonight spoke for his 23 years of sobriety. It was packed tonight, and I heard alot of really good things..( I always do ). I also had coffee with my old sponsor earlier, who is a great friend as well and will probably speak for me next week.
Anyway, I'm doing what I need to do for my recovery, and I'm loving it.
I'd like to hear what you guys are doing to Live And Let Live, One Day At A Time. And what some of you did for your recovery today. Be good to yourselves,

Ahhh, Bob nice to see you! I started going to back to back meetings on Friday nights and I love it. The first is a participation meeting at 5:30 and the next is a Speaker meeting at 7:00. I am starting to change my meetings around, a little. I always hear something I need to hear. I never imagined my life could be this good. If I got what I wanted when I first got clean, I would have short changed myself. It was a gorgeous day here in L.A. How sweet it is.

Hows it going my friend?? You sound like you really got it together and are doing well. I'm very happy for you. You're one of the good guys Bob and deserve the best out of life.

if you promise this wont be a controversy thread over n.a verse not n/a i will share ;-P hehehe just funnen with ya bob. today i did my everyday stuff with my kids i shopped my son had guitar lessons we gotta new dog so that has helped deter my mind and give me a new hobby, he is work!! but a good thing. he's a cool dog. i squabbled on the board, i cant say i feel good about that but i can say i didnt start it and it was in defense and it wasnt very recovery like, for that i apologise. i am human to i know i know believe it i am : ) oh and i lost my dog for about 15 minutes or so but my kindly neighbor found him while i was out driving the neighborhood and he put him back in the yard for me and all was well. cooked and cleaned for my kids, called some friends and talked to my dad and brother.

Good to hear from both of you.
Me too Rachel, I changed my meetings up ( just a little ) too. I get bored easily,
and I don't wanna fall into the same rut I did before. Thats why I always wanna have a commitment somewhere and take a night a week to make some different meetings, and meet new people. Although, it's funny, and neat at the same time how I run into alot of the same folks. That just shows me whos walking and not just talking. Tonight was my homegroup's Saturday night meeting. I still have three saturdays open Rachel for a speaker? *wink*

Frank, I'm doing good thankyou, I had a little fun in one of those threads today too, but it got whacky quick so I bailed with the quickness. lol How are you doin' buddy? I hope good, maybe later on tonight I'll drop you a line. I think of you often along with Paula, Carrie and a few others I've come to be friends with.

Was it nice today or what??? Took a big chance getting your car washed you know. Its nice to see you as well. I'm staying busy busy and its really great. I actually feel like doing things instead of feeling like I have to do things.


I actually enjoy the comedy. Its the name calling and finger pointing thats not good. Have a good one guys

bob,

yeah cj was playing by ear, he was doing audio slave, blink 182, metallica, rush, ozzy, and i wanted him to get formal training cause he has such an ear for it. he can read the music, he has to practice his finger positions. that was partly why i wanted him to have lessons i could tell he wasnt playing right, but he had the songs nailed. i cant believe how cheap guitar stuff is, he broke 2 strings before his 1st lesson, and it was only 69 cents a string lol and we bought him a bunch of pics to try out, his dad bought him a 2nd hand fend electric guitar and amp for $75 off a guy at work. he's super into it at 10 yrs old.

I want to be picked up too Bob......hehe.... when are you going to let me come and vacation with you two. I need a vacation. Actually, I think we should all head down to Pammie's since she has the nice weather, or over to Rachel's. I could really go for some fun in the sun..... Snowed here, and it is colder than a witch's t*t in a brass bra..... I need some warm soothing weather...... save me..
