I'm afraid that on day three i could'nt take it and checked myself out and went to the nearest dealer and scored. Woke up this morning waited until I started to rattle and took an 8mg sub starting to feel a bit better now. I am determined to get clean it's just those detox units with there rubber quilts and the smell of disinfectant and other junkies around you being sick and so the mere sight of them being ill makes you feel worse so I have enough sub to last a couple of months so I'm going to taper down myself.
Dude, Hang in.
Hey, we all did the AMA I am sure. Know I did. So, on ya go.
Check in O.K.?????????? You have the determination.

Hey man, I know the feeling - rehab sux! You are better off going it alone, if you really wanna get off the gear then it wont take rehab, or anyone else to get you off it - if you wanna get off it then you will.
Once you are slowly reduce the subbies and are down to the lowest possible dosage, then stop. It sounds simple but of course, just like everything else in this big wide world - it aint.
Once you are off the gear and taking subutex, you will feel ok and wont be craving (as much) for gear as if you had just done a blind cluck, but this is the point when you need to change everything else in your life as well - you have made a massive change and got off the smack - now you have to begin to change almost every other aspect of your life, the main one being finding something constructive to do during the day, changing your friends, moving somewhere new, basically you have to change everything, as just by moving somewhere new you will, if you want, still be able to find gear. Nope, you have to change the whole damn lot.
An you have to do this before you come off of everything, coz once you've come off subbies, you do start to have those gear thoughts - trust me - ive bin there and got a whole wardrobe of t shirts.
Well thats my advice - oh yeah, i can talk - ive been heroin and crack for over 8 years an I am still on the s***, but i have been through so many clucks, detoxes, etc. etc. that i am begining to understand how it all works - sure i am never gonna fully understand it all - heroin addiction is far too complex.
