Last week, after the service at the cemetery, my niece on Chuck's side presented me with a necklace. The charm on it is called a "Thumbie". Never heard of it before. But it is a 3D thumbprint and she had it engraved on the back. I love it because it is something unique to him that I can touch.
Just when I thought that gift couldn't be beat, my 17 year old niece gave me an awesome gift tonight. She is quite the artist. Although she doesn't do too much realism in her artwork (she's into the anime stuff), she did an excellent job. She gave me a framed sketch of one of our wedding photos.
Here is the actual photo, followed by a scan of the sketch. I bawled my eyes out when I opened it. It is just too beautiful and precious for words...
