Bri

Good to see you posting sweetie!

I hope you and your family are doing well. I've been busy with relocating my junk from one house to the next. And, I had my parents down for almost a week.

Anyway, it's great to hear (read) your voice again!
Hiya Janet! It's so good to hear from you too! You put a smile on my face when i saw this! Sounds like you've been pretty busy too... boy, i sure don't ever want to move again but it's inevitable with my hub's job. We're hoping to someday go to Tennessee... mainly cuz there's actually grass and trees there... LOL! It's like the freaking desert here. OMG... guess what! I am getting a mini-doxy on Dec 6. I put my deposit down on him last Saturday. I got to see the litter... i haven't chosen one yet... there are 3 of the boys that i am choosing from. He is gonna be kinda medium coat cuz his momma's long hair and daddy's short hair. He's unregistered so i got a really good deal on him. I had to sell Obiwan because he is the standard size doxy and was way too hyper for the kiddos. But, i got to meet the family and the other dogs they have... and i could not have asked for a better family for him. They are going to start him in agility classes soon and he will be doing his first show in March. It's so cool! I will probably go see him at his shows. Bless his little heart! He is just loving it there though. And it's cool cuz his new momma calls me and keeps me updated. Is that cool or what? :) Anyhow... things have been pretty good around here... doing the same thing... the baby fell asleep on his own so i had a chance to pop in and post some. There are so many new people... that's good! I hope all is well with you and your family! And thanks for posting to me... :)

Love You,
Bri :)
Wanted to say Hi, Bri. Miss your sweetness around here.

Anytime you want to talk, you have my email.

Love
Lisa
congrats on the new puppy! I personally don't like male dogs, they hike up their leg on everything. I want a Yorkie someday, but they are so expensive. I had the most wonderful, sweet and smart Shih Tzu, then tried to have a Schipperke indoors, which was fine, until I got a Rat Terrier, who undid any training the Schipperke had. I kicked them both outside when we had a major flea infestation, and when the Schipperke started pooping on my couch. The Rat never did take to any housetraining. They are happy outside, except the Rat is constantly cold. We have 3 dog crates that they sleep in under a shed. I let the Rat and the part Scottish Terrier, part Beagle run, but have to keep the other dog tied because she is deaf and blind in one eye. I do miss having them indoors, but don't miss the mess and the fleas. They have 20 acres+ to run so they are happy dogs.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, I know I did, so does the 4 lbs I put on...lol.

Working up some motivation to go clean bathrooms in the other house, and I hope to get all my floor washing and dusting done today.
Hey there Lisa! How are you doing? It's good to hear from you too! I really have missed you guys... i don't really get a chance to post much anymore because the kids stay til about 6:30 or 7 now and then right after they leave it's straight to housework... ahhh... the life of a woman! But, i am still going to my meetings. It's kinda sad though because do you remember my friend that i was talking about that had 9 months clean and had a court date coming up? Well, he called me to let me know when his court date was but i had to work so i couldn't go to support him and i haven't seen him at the meetings since. And i just know that he is having to do some time. I feel so bad for him because he was doing so good... but he sounded good on the phone and i know that he has the tools to survive during these tough times. It just hurts to see one of our members go thru this because i know what it feels like, ya know? But, it is all in God's hands and i know that everything happens for a reason. Well... the kids are hungry...lol... better go fix 'em some lunch. Let me know how you are!

Love you! Bri :)
Bri...that's a bummer about your friend. Have you heard from him at all? I hope he didn't end up in jail?

Things here are a little stressed for lack of a better word. My mom in law is ill and in and out of the hospital and a nursing home for alzhiemers. It's so tough on my husband. He's not handling it well at all and I just feel so damned helpless. It's a sad, sad thing to watch someone so tortured as she is.

On a lighter note, my mom is doing great. She had refused treatment when her cancer came back and is feeling great. She says she is anyway. She's staying busy and takes alot of homopathic meds. Not sure if it's working but as long as she's happy, I'm happy. I stopped being mad at her for being irresponsible with her health. It's not about me or up to me. That's a tough lesson for me.

Stay in touch, hon.

Lisa
