Not much to report from Bonny Dundee. Things are going ok on the good ship clean time, the sun is not shining but i feel fine. Still at college, working too, so i'll have a wee bit o money for xmas. Worried about the festive period. Determined not gonna drink or take anything, want to go out and enjoy myself, but if i need to stay in to prevent myself from slipping i will. The thought of new years eve....straight, f*** it is putting the fear in me already ( day at a time kev )
Still got the old mr negative working in me, but some days i can not hear him, somedays i do. Went for 4 job interviews when i got paid off 4 weeks ago, got a job, never listened to the voice inside telling me i wa useless.... working now, although only temp.

I have a bunch of vacation days that I have to use in December, so that,s a good thing.
They used to give the option of taking a check instead of the time off- -but that ended last year.So Ill be having 4 day work weeks all month - plus Christmas Day & 1/2 day Christmas eve. We also are having the big company party in the building this year. - Good Idea !!! We were having it at some big time expensive country club the last few years. I'M sure" having it "home" will save a boatload of $$$$.
You think they will throw each employee at least a 50 dollar bill or something , ya know -" great job people,we know the economy sux but we do appreciate all your efforts. - - Ha> not in a million years
Just playing- I am really happy that we haven't had to lay anyone of yet(save 1 or 2 from outside sales)

Hey Dee....been working and getting through each day, missus away during the week...holidays here...fighting the good fight just like you...not so easy some days...just havent had a lot of time to check in here...:) Glad to know your working again, temp is better than no work...tough times out there right now...my better half working 4 hours away and coming home on weekends...but, we look at it as a God send when we see how others are suffering right now without a job...trying to keep my head up same as you during the holidays...scary time for us addicts..:)...risky business...:) :)

I have a confession......I HATE THE HOLIDAY'S.... (ok...there I said it)!
Don't get me wrong I love to see the joy in a kids eyes at getting that special gift they wanted and the visual beauty of the holiday season but for those that are or were addicted so many thoughts are brought on. For me it's the loss of my mother (who was born xmas eve), and a dear friend who was taken out by the beast we know as addiction. This season I was sadden by the fact that a little girl will never know how wonderful her father was because he commited suiside (a few weeks ago) due to life's preasures getting the best of him. He was a hard working man who was never an addict and took care of his responsibilties. He was kindhearted and funny as sh!t but we just did not know how fragile he was. HUG THE ONES YOU LOVE GOOD PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Jack. Bryn's computer bit the dust about a month ago and she hasn't been heard from since. I had emails with Tres who said things with both her and Bryn are okay, not much going on there. I sent off another email two days ago but haven't heard back, in it I told her to tell Bryn to get her @ss to the public library and log on for us. Tres works like a dog and is helping care for her grandson so she doesn't always answer right back, but when we have a report I'll be sure to pass it along.
D, so very, very sorry to hear about your friend. This time of year can be brutal for people suffering from depression and anxiety...it seems that expectations are so high they can't possibly be met. Some folks just feel such intense pressure to be happy, to have the type of holiday we've been sold, and they think something must be wrong with them that they can't be happy when seemingly everyone around them is having a merry old time. Their misery is magnified by the pleasure that seems to come so easily to others..."what's wrong with me?" becomes the tune that plays over and over until it beats them right into the ground. Short winter days and long nights can double the impact of our own dark thoughts.
I pray that God relieves the psychic burdens of these people as we all know that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Not seeing it coming really hurts and makes us question our own perceptions.
Have a chill and quiet holiday and it'll all be over before you know it. Jennie Mae is right by your side as always.

Hey! I too feel so down at this time of year as it's coming up to the anniversary of my mum committing suicide too. This time of year really is hard on a lot of people and it'll be forever marred for me. Time does not heal.
