I fell off the damn wagon. I've been smoking at least once every day or 2 for the passed 2 weeks. It sucks, I feel guilty. I am pretty sure I'll stop smoking completely again once I start working the summer. I'm going away to a different province, away from all the pot smokers in my life for a couple of months. You'll all hear from me again when I re-commit myself to staying clean.
Lasted just over 3.5 months this time............ How did I fail? It got too easy. I figured I had enough self controll to have a few puffs and it wouldn't be the end of the world... well it wasn't the end of the world, just the end of my sobriety.
Mr.B
Mr. B....keep coming back!
Proves the theory that one is too many and a thousand is never enough.
I've relapsed more times than I can count...got rehab and some program and now I've got 9 months...but that could be gone in a line anytime...I continue to be ready to learn about myself and to be teachable.
You will do it when you are ready...I just hope it's not after 34 years of it, like I did. I missed my kids growing up because I was too high to remember it...sucks..

I don't want to smoke pot every day of my life.... I have to be on my own the next time I am serious about quiting, at least I got through a semester of school sober, I won't be a pothead and go to school in the fall... I'll either be a pothead or a student (preferably the latter)... It just means i'll have to do it all again.... quitting isn't easy

Hi
I showed your message to my son who is deluding himself that he can smoke responsibly and moderately. I have not gotten any reaction from him yet. He likes smoking and the high he gets.
He can't wait to go to college to start using again!
I wish he would realize that for him there is no controlled use.
I am sorry that you have to start all over again after all the efforts you had made.
Best wishes

I plan on resuming my effort to quit after this coming weekend. Wish me luck.
good luck.!!! :)
Hey, Mr. B. Dust yourself off and start again. Anything in this world that is worth having takes time and is usually hard. No doubt in my mind you're going to achieve sobriety..we all make mistakes along the way. rootin for you. luv corrinne
Hey Mr.B,
I continue to wish you all the best.... regarding your plan to re-locate.....wherever you go...there you are. <smile> You gave it a good shot, remember that..... it still matters, no matter the length of time clean, it's time clean.
Pay close, intuitive, attention to those you come in contact with out in that new province, choose wisely whomever becomes a support to you.
You can't do this alone....but you know that....take care.

I was just wondering if wellbutrin would help with quitting pot....pot has nicotine and tar in it doesn't it? Just a thought...I know since I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, I don't think I'd ever want to smoke pot again.
Hi Janet, I remember I had quit cigarettes already and I had asked my Doctor about the wellbutrin working for pot. He said no, it's just not the same. On another note, I noticed when I tried to have a drag of a cigarette while on the wellbutrin it made me nauseous. So I know it definitely works for cigarettes. I no longer take wellbutrin but if I ever picked up smoking cigs again, I would ask for that stuff.
Tobacco is my other addiction. I've considered useing wellbutrin for quitting... The only reason I haven't yet is because, I've yet to seriously attempt to quit my tobacco addiction...
I just realized in the passed year I've been clean from weed for a total of 5.5 months. That was one 2 month stretch this time last year, and 3.5 months from jan 1 till april 12. I'll try to do better this year starting now! :)
next quit date is this coming monday... one week from today! I don't think it'll be even close to as hard this time. I havent been smoking 1/4 as much as I was before new years. And I have only been back into this routine for a very short time.

Best of luck. What is good is that you want to stop
It seems that most of the people who are addicted to pot or something else are smoking cigarettes. Each time I pick up my son from one of his meetings, many people light a cig as soon as they come out. This always surprises me
Nicotine addiction is bad and it is not easy to quit (I know because I smoked for years). Perhaps one can stop one addiction at the time??? unless helped by medicine, acupuncture, hypnosis or nicotine patches

Mr. B,
So sorry to hear about your fall!! Thats what happened to cajun lady and I a couple of years ago when we quit. It had been 6 months and we thought we would have the control to just smoke now and again. WE LIED TO OURSELVES!! within a couple of days I was hitting up our dealers and scoring a bag and didn't stop again until january 17 of this year. So far as of today were still clean and it has been exactly 90 days today.
Don't get down on yourself, you realize your mistakes and thats the first step. You can do it, GOOD LUCK on Monday, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
