Doug,
I have followed your recovery process and I just want to say, Congratulations.
Looking back 30 days ago and before, what do you notice as the biggest difference being off the meds? Example, clearer mind? attitude, etc.
The reason I am asking, maybe for those just starting or considering the recovery process, stating the biggest or several noticeable differences from then to now may give them some hope. What do you all think about this question; maybe start a new thread regarding this?
For me, it is the clearer thinking; it is as if my eyes are open for the first time in a long time to what is around me. I see Trees, Clouds, Mailboxes, grass and how green it is. I mention mailboxes, because I never knew our neighbor had one to match his house. Simple, but very real. Funny what we see now we thought we saw then. Over 2 1/2 months for me.

Brook...Go ahead and call me Doug..30 days ago when I
was using, my emotions were all over the place...Up one
minute, down the next..And my only motivation at that point
was to keep taking pills...everything revolved around the pills..
everything else came second..Now I see life around me in a
more positive stable light..I'm starting to set goals and actually
achieve them...Where before, I would take pills and blow it off...
There is a lot of power in taking your life back, and I would
encourage anyone still using, to get clean and see how great
life can really be..
Take Care,
Doug
