we have never talked but i was wondering, why can't you get public assistance.
i live in pennsylvania and here if your a drug addict you can get health insurance and public assiastnce. all you have to do is call you county assistance office.

I applied for medicare and food stamps but here emergency food stamps is 7 days later. This morning was a bust. I got there at 6 and was told I have to see this other doctor to detox the benzo's and then they can help me. The only catch is the doctor wants $150.00 for the 1st visit. Might as well be asking for a $1000.00 but I'm gonna keep beating my head againest the wall. It's VERY important to me to get some clean time under my belt before her graduation in May. I PROMISED her that. Thank you for being my friend. You and T-Mom are awesome. My daughter is going to college after graduation to become a teacher. I'm really proud of her and for once I want her to be proud of me. You are the best for taking up for me and just talking and worring about me.

Connie- In reality, there is no real "detox" from benzo's.The withdraw last for weeks..sometimes months or years..but you are on the right course..stop the benzo first and then worry about the rest later..benzo's are the more dangerous of the two..
Yep - the benzo detox has to be slow. It took me 9 months - not to depress you - just to inform. I did it with the help of the benzo.org.uk site. Its worth looking at that site - loads of info and help + private chat room. Great help and will advise practically.

He is doing really good. I talked to him tody for a few. He is at 4 mgs of sub and is going down to 2 mgs next week. He is just playing it according to how he feels. His Crohn's is doing good I guess. He hasn't complained.

Im going back to the Dr tomarrow about my throat.I was on Keflex(antibi)for 7 days without much good.Im kinda hopen he just put me on stronger ones.And honest my chrons is just there everyday.No better no worse.The pain I can deal with thanks to the sub(8mg)but I ve just been so worried about the throat I tend to forget the rest.I havent counted lately but Im almost at 3 mths.I think April 4th is 3 mths with no Ultram.So I am still doing great I dont crave it as bad & Ivre finally got some pep in my step.

You know the antibiotic he put you on is used for a wide variety of different things and it never worked well for me. Hopefully he will give you a stronger one. I am not at 2 months yet April 2nd will be 2 months. I still don't have a lot of energy it comes and goes. I guess even non-addicts have good and bad days so I can't complain. It is so hot here. I can't believe it. It is going to be 83 tomorrow. I can tell we are going to have a very hot summer here in Florida! Rae
