Does anyone know how crank and lithium interact? Have only been on Lithium (500 mg per day) 2 weeks and having been smoking crystal meth for 2 years (binge habit, 3 days on, 3 days off, maybe a gram a week)
I'm also prescribed with 60 mg citalopram (anti depressant), 2 mg Clonazepam (Klonopin - anti anxiety) & 15mg Imovane (Zopiclone - sleeping pills) and I like to drink GHB/GBL bout once a week too.
Lithium is the only new drug to my concoction but after reading up on Lithium I see how dangerous it can be and have no idea about it's reactions with illegal substances.
Please help!!!

That is something I would like to know also. I just began using again because of stress in this house. I am on lithium and triliptal, serequel. I would ask my doctor but I am afraid to be put in a hosptial somewhere. I will do some research for us.

That would be awesome, someone on another thread said double the damage and could die - get help. Freaked me out and i didnt take my lithium last night.
I tried some research, I don't understand it though.
*Crank increses the levels of norepinephrine.
*Lithium enhances the uptake of norepinephrine into synaposomes and thus reduces its action cause it reduces the release of norepinephrine from synaptic vesicles.
Make any sense? Crank also increases dopemine, Lithium reduces release of seratonin. All 3 are neurotransmitters.(nore, dope & sera)
It also says that Lithium does not PROTECT against action of stimulant drugs.
So I'm figuring it must be ok, I've been ding both for 2 weeks and its only the las couple of days ive felt a bit weir but could be dehydrated?? How are you feeling?

I am doing fine, I also feel dehydradted sometimes. I havnt done in a few days because Im broke! I however am going to NA tonight. I figured that I should go and give that a shot.

Good luck at NA, didn't work for me but it seems to work for alot of people. I might have to take a break in a few days too, same reason, it's too damn expensive!
I'm still freaking a bit about my drug interactions cause have had weird symptoms: dehydration, stomach cramps, blurred vision & vertigo. I get a massive head rush with every chuff, more then I ever have, and although it is pleasurable, it's starting to scare me. But what solution do I take? Cut back on the lithium and citalopram so I can continue smoking the P (Crank)
Drink water, eat salt.

"Lithium salts - No direct interaction with alcohol. Alcohol causes dehydration and may raise lithium concentration to dangerous level"
I'm pretty sure that crank would cause the same kind of dehydration. In general, if you are on a mood stabilizer like lithium, crank would kind of negate the effects.
It would probably be best to talk to your doctor about this. If you don't have a doctor you can be honest with, try and find another. Please be careful and take care of yourself,

i am 45 and have used meth on for 20 yearsand of, exept the last 2 years everyday.i also take lithium and depacoat and abilify and a bunch more meds.i liked the meth to bring my intensity up.i am bipolar and have not seen any bad side affects. but i also watch my diet and believe it or not i am at the gym 5 days a week.we all know it will catch up one day. most of us live for the moment.thats my take on meth interaction with other drugs.
