Today Nov,15 Today i have started my detox it is 1:50 now and i am starting to get my wonderful leg cramps.Tonight should great ,lol sure im laughing now.I have done this before i think thats why i have such dry humor.I would like to try and have somone talk to me every now and than.Thank you,Brent
Hey Brent,

Congratulations on taking your life back from those evil pills! Like everything else, the withdrawals will pass. My suggestion for home detoxing/withdrawals is to go out and rent on DVD several full seasons of any of these shows:

24
The Shield
West Wing

In between hot baths, lay on the couch and watch episode after episode, and before you know it the withdrawals will be over, and you'll have a brand new addiction (TV) that won't make your life unmanageable.

If you want any support over the next few days, feel free to email me at wharfratmatty@gmail.com

Hang in,
Matt

Hi Brent. I've been posting to you on your other threads and I even started a new one for you this morning! I guess you didn't see them! :) If you scroll down to your threads from yesterday, you will see I haven't forgotten about you!

Just try to keep that sense of humor throughout the sleepless nights, huh? I feel for you. We all know what you are going through. I will be doing the same thing myself again. I only lasted 16 days clean last time. But I did prove to myself that I can live through the withdrawals. Unfortunately, I let my relapse turn into a 3 month binge so now I am back at square one. Live and learn I guess.

Keep posting here...especially when you feel like you can't take it anymore. It really helps. What meds did your doctor give you to help?

What are you waiting for? Three months can turn into six before you realize it.
I know it can (and probably will) 12 stepper. Just like those first few "occasional" pills turned into a 3+ year daily habit.

I've been meaning to tell you -- it's been good to see you posting so often. You have alot to share. Thank you.

You don't have to stay in hell, honey. You can quit again. I never thought I could live without pills, Thought I'd be on them for the rest of my life but look at me now. You can do it! They're not ever going to feel the way you want them to feel. The obsession isn't going to stop until you stop putting them in your body. The withdrawals are shortlived compared to what you feel like now. Everybody gets the flu in their lives and its no worse than that. You can do it if you want.
