Did Anyone Watch Intervention Last Night?

Did you all see the woman who was addicted to pain pills and benzos? She was stumbling around, falling asleep sitting up. She said she was taking the medication as prescribed. There's no way 1 lortab and 1 xanax can knock you out that bad. Did anyone else think that?

Shelly
Hi Shelley..yes I saw it and felt so bad for her...and your right...I never did the benzo's so I can't speak for that..but I was thinking that is what it must have been that made her nod like that...I did boat loads of narcs and never nodded! hope she is ok now! Her poor kids...man now that was the desease working at it finest..she was in such denial...and I ain't taking the river in Egypt baby!!!
that episode got to me more then most. The daughter broke my heart. Ya, she said she isn't taking more then prescribed....ok!!!!

Heath
I saw it too..I would agree, she was taking more than perscribed probably..
I know...I call @ullcrap!! Oh and my heart broke for her older daughter as well. That women was more worried about her boyfriend than her kids...I am the only one that caught that...anyway..I am not judging her...I know what those drugs do to a person...its warped!
I saw it and the only that followed, with the two brothers (one in a wheelchair) and then the other guy, Michael I believe his name was. also very sad.

then i cried like a baby when Dr, Rey and his wife buried peanuts their 6 yr old chihuahua dog. The show Dr 90210.
Ya awhile back they did a update on Brooks and Ian. Brooks was clean then went to visit Ian and started using. Sad. I think at the end of the update they had both been clean since whatever date.

It must be hard for the youngest brother seeing his older brothers both consumed by drugs.

I came clean with my two teens about my addiction. Some may think its wrong but I wanted them to know how easy it is to get caught up in it and how it can change you for the worse. We had a long talk about it. I'm very open and honest with them about everything. I told them so they wouldn't end up like me. We talked about how I was before I started using. They are 16 and 14. Great kids if I do say so myself. I just want so much more for them. I grew up with an alcoholic father. It did a number on my head at times.

Sorry for rambling and getting of topic.

hugs,
Heath
I watched it last night because I tape it every Sunday Night. I was happy to finally see a new show. Anyway the woman said she thought she took 1 Lortab and One Xanax, she wasn't sure. It was obvious she took way more than that. She also said she was taking Klonopin, Ambiem and Morphine. So that combination was probably why she couldn't walk half the time and was nodding off.

During the intervention her only concern was if she could take her Ambiem and Morphine and talk to her boyfriend, how sad is that? She had a little girl that was what 12-13 years old? That knew WAY to much about her mother's addiction in my opinion. I don't think children should have to witness that. She was such a smart, sweet little girl & she was FED up with her mom's behavior. At one point she said I am more of a mom to my mom than she is me. I felt bad for her. I pray the mother gets the help she needs for all 3 of her children. At least the grandparents were their for the kids and seemed to really love the woman. So many people don't have that support.
