Hi Susan and Davey, I'm just busy getting everything organised for my trip to the Isle of Man. Spent yesterday buying all the little bits I need. Got myself a baby carrier, coz it's a pain in the butt trying to manage a pram and all our luggage, so I'll wear the baby strapped to my chest, and have hands free then, one for the babies bag - got myself a baby travel case with changing mat, bottle holders etc for all her stuff - and the other for all my stuff. I can borrow a push chair from a friend whilst I'm out there. I bought her some going away clothes. She's into 3 - 6 month clothes now. I'm good at shopping. I got some lovely gear in the half price sale at Boots, and they've got 20% off all clothes at Tesco, plus my boyfriends sister works there, and she gets another 10% off, so I got all her stuff on the cheap.

I've had major hassle trying to get all my affairs in order since my long awaited divorce came through. I had to go and get my driving license changed, and my bank details, so everything matches the name on my passport. Spent half a day at the DVLA on Thursday, getting everything done. Attempted to tax my car, but apparantly I had the wrong sort of log book, and now I won't be able to tax it till I get back, so I hope it doesn't get towed away in the interim.

Rowanne is still being the perfect child. She had her injections on Weds, and she was such a brave little soldier - only cried for a moment, although she needed some Calpol in the evening, coz she was off colour.

Right, I've got a great big pile of ironing to do, so better get on...

Dear Diff,

It's great to hear from you! I hope you and Rowanne have a WONDERFUL trip! You sure do need a LOT of gear to take a baby on a trip, don't you?

I think I have you beat on the good buys on clothes though. My daughter and I went to some garage sales and when we walked up to the last one I asked how much the clothes were and they replied, "10 cents!" Wow! Juliet and I got 30 pieces of clothing for $3.00. We could have gotten more but we tried to be somewhat selective and not go overboard. Most of the other ones we were to charged 50 cents to $1.00.

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE PEACE!!!!!

Love,
Susan
Dear Davey,

Things are going very well here right now as far as my son and grandchildren are concerned. Thanks for asking. That was very kind of you.

I'm just not looking forward to getting through the 28th...the 1st anniversary of my mom's death. That will be tough. It's very difficult when you reach this stage of your life (50's) and your parents, aunts, and uncles start to pass away. So sad.

How are you doing?

Love,
Susan
Hi all, just thought I'd drop in and say ta-ra, as I'm away first thing tomorrow. I'm lucky in that I'm staying with a friend who has a two year old, and she's lending me her pram and she's got a cot set up, so I don't need to take too much. And she's bought me nappies so I don't have to lug loads of them across the Irish sea. I'm a little anxious about Rowanne going on a plane. She's so little! But she'll love the isle of man. I've found out she's a rock chick - she loves it when I put the radio on loud! I don't think she's ready to go see The Who yet though. I think that's one gig mammy will go to without her.

OK, I'm just going to make some sandwiches ready for the trip, before Prison Break starts - I'm hopelessly addicted, even though it's just got beyond far fetched. I got suss when T-bag got his arm sewed back on by a vet...
