I was taught in AA to pray in the morning to ask for help and to pray at night to give thanks for blessings received. I found many more reasons to pray in between as time's gone by. I'm curious to know what others do.
I wanted to vote on two of those...I pray 1st thing in the morning, as soon as I open my eyes and before my mind starts thinking...I then pray all during the day, some days more than others, and then I pray every evening...
Prayer has helped save my life....and I am also careful what I pray for...lol....

Gee, Stace, I've heard that when people pray for patience God puts them in situations where they learn patience real quick if you know what I mean. Be careful what you pray for. God has a sense of humor too.

i like to personally keep my chanel to heaven open, i think of my thoughts as a constant prayer, sometimes i feel i look like a dork because it apears i am talking to myself, but i just keep that open and i pray all day! it keeps me at peace inside, and it is a good feeling to know that i am not alone!

LOL about god's sense of humor. As you may remember I have been in a pity party as of late. I prayed for god's will and reminders of all the things I have to be grateful for. I crashed my car into a sidewalk yesterday and it is un driveable. I think this was his way of telling me to be grateful for the everyday things I have to be grateful for including my dad who lent me his truck and some money to fix the car. I am relieved but it is so true. I should learn to stop complaining when nothing is wrong. Lesson learned.

jane............ honey!!! dang utah snow!!!! that sucks but i am glad to hear that you are possitive.........what a good dad!!!! I always have to remember in a way it might sound bad to be selfish, i dont want the weight of the world on my shoulders so if my HP is willing to take it why not give it to him!!!!

Pants- LOL you'd think huh! I have only been driving for 19 years of this s*** and I couldn't see the curb or what! No I just slid in to it. No control it was on Sunday morning and the snow was still packed on the streets my tires were just thread bare. So there I went SLAM! I am sorry about your friend. WOW good thing you guys are staying put huh. I feel a little better today. I usually feel better when I have to go to work. There is just something that sucks about being off work with nothing to do and no kids. You would think in three years of divorcedness I could adapt it still just SUCKS! T

Aw jane!! im sorry, i heard you guys got like 3 feet, i just tried to go to the grocery store and my sisters driveway i swear is strait up and i fell on my a**, i give up!!!! lol, i have been walking in snow for how long now.......lol......... I hope the weather does get betters oon though!!! going nuts here can only read a christmas book so manytimes without calling the nutty house to come and get me! I pray all the time. I also talk to God a lot during the day. Especially when I am am having a hard time, like today. When I am talking to God it is like praying to me. I didn't used to pray all that much, but in the past few months I have increased my praying and I am so thankful I did. I always pray when I go to bed and usually I fall asleep when I am praying. I don't think it is bad because sometimes I can't sleep and I just start praying and it relaxes me so I can sleep.
there was a tremendous amount of suffering i created for myself because i was not willing to get off of my position of needing to control everything. however, until i could see i was doing this, i just kept doing it in more and more sophisticated ways. prayer gives me the chance to pause long enough; to blow the whistle on my own strategies.
i am prayerful, peaceful and relaxed in the presence of the One. in prayer, i say to the God of my understanding, to teach me about prayer beyond words and ideas. i do not always know what i want or need. i ask that God hold me closely in His arms that i might experience His presence and reveal the prayers in every moment of this day.

all of a sudden i feel the words come to my fingers tips so i can type them out.
i pause and think and ask the Lord to bring me a very nice prayer into my heart for someone that i am concerned about...........
i pray alot in the car............
and i sing alot in my car to.......
i lay still alot and turn off the tv when i am home alone or when i wake up and just talk to the Lord about anything thats on my heart........
even winnie prays with me..........i say winnie lets pray..SHE SITS PRETTY.

You don't bug me with your prayer posts. I happen to enjoy your prayers and I am sure everyone here does too. Your prayers come from the heart and that is what makes them special. I love to read your prayers and pray along with you while I am reading them.You are a very sweet person Thumper and I hope you never leave the board.
