Little Beach, i remember when i was about 17 & i figured out how to set up my parents 8 trac stero system to record directly from records or the radio to 8 tracks. i was at the cutting edge of technology, but thats about where it ended. i used to have this big ol reel - reel that my brother brought back from Korea, & that was extremely cool. When FM radio first came out, and played all the Psycadelic (sp) stuff, it was 'far out'. but this new stuff is a bit too much for me. i asked my 11 y ear old if he knew what a record was, & he said "yeah, it's an old fashioned cd." I ht ink we've gone technologically nuts, but I'm sure my parents thought the same, & on & on
Browndog, I would recommend Frontpage as an HTML editor. It's really simple. You need to go to somewhere like www.networksolutions.com to get your domain name. They will also host, or there are a million other "host" out there. When you choose your hosting site, you transer the domain to them. Yes, it does cost for a company to host your site. Now, back the Frontpage. You simply set up your site using HTML. At first, forget the tricky stuff like XML or Java. Once your first page is done, you use a program like cuteftp (which is free) to upload to your hosting site under your hosted URL. THEN, you start building off that page with links and stuff. One way I learned HTML was to right click on Web pages I like. You can then View Soruce and it gives your the HTML source code. The are also a million templates out there if you don't like the Frontpage ones. It took me a week or so to get the knack of it. But in reality, it's pretty easy.
Browndog, if you still need a lil help with your webpage, I'd be happy to help you set it up. You can e-mail me at admin@dreamflightcreations.com
