Dog The Bounty Hunter

My daughter went to see him and Beth speak today at one of our colleges. She said he spoke to a woman in tears who was afraid for her daughter who was on drugs. He asked her "buddha drugs?" or "drug drugs?". Apparently, this was a reference to pot as a soft drug compared to the drug-drug meth she was on. Anyway, the daughter had to go up and listen to him tell her, "jails, institution or death" is all ANY drugs lead to.

I have been saying that for awhile to my kids.

I have been to the institution a few times.

My cousins' suicide....I will never know why.....but my theory (with some family rumoured evidence).... is alcohol/drugs/porn and the f***ing ptsd. due to 9/11.

My daughter watched my descent into suicidal depression because of the "buddha drug."

Next year she graduates from high school and then she is going to begin her studies to become a psychiatric nurse.

That takes more courage than getting off weed, imo. She is amazing (((L))) <<<<3

I'm feeling angry, time to go read something cheery. I should go buy a punching bag tomorrow.

Sincerely,

D

buddha drug? oh my...( i wonder what buddhist's think of that comment? )

as one who has struggled for TOO many years with the poison, i also hate when it is minimized.

your daughter as always sounds wonderful. i love that comment she made to you awhile back, 'whatever helps you sleep mom'. a great girl, gets it from you!

did you get a punching bag?
i need one too!

but i don't know who dog the bounty hunter is????

Hi JJ,

We don't have bounty hunters in Canada, so we are fans of this mullet wearing, God-loving big guy. :-) He and his posse (including his wife, Beth) basically go after fugitives in the USA.

Hey, it's more entertaining to watch than the p**** cat dolls. Ewwwwww. Meow.

Anyway, I spent the day with both my 20 and 16 year olds just hanging out at T's new house, my youngest is at camp this week with outdoor school. Yeah my "always wonderful" daughter has a wicked sense of humour and today she was picking on me about my grey hairs, my son always defends me when she gets mean. LOL I told her they are "precious silver strands of the web of love I am building just for her when she finally meets her match in this cold cruel world and needs me to comfort her someday." That got a laugh. It feels so good to laugh with my kids....:-)

I didn't get a punching bag but....it's on my list for a mother's day gift. (Can you see my daughter rolling her eyes ?) LOL

Seriously, I have taken an axe to tree roots and raked a lawn with feverish pace to expel some of that anger that I sometimes get over my cousins' senseless death. Anger is so not ladylike....but very real to me and I've discovered I can't ignore it...my brother sent me a website infowars.com, which didn't help. Last night I watched Wanda Sykes (sp?) on Jay Leno and laughed my head off before bed, that felt good but my sleep pattern is kinda screwed up right now.

I hope you get big time sunshine this weekend and get out and about with your little one...take care of yourself and congrats on the clean time....I'm cheering you on over here....

Love, Laughter, Light,

Diana
