It's about the heroin twins whose lives were devastated by heroin. I had intended to watch and record it but because of my sick granddaughter I missed it! I'm so upset. I didn't want you to miss it too.
His website has a LOT of useful information....including his opinion that backing out of their lives and allowing them to hit their bottom isn't the answer because their bottom could very well be their grave.

Susan
Here's the website with information about todays' show. I found Brandon's story interesting as well.

Hey susan, i watched the show it was super hard for me to watch i can't stand seeing needles anymore. I was brought back into those old feelings seeing those girls use. I also looked at the web page i honestly dis agree with some of what dr.phil says. I dis agree with how he questions the "parent" or parents where they were & why they were not there kind of stuff. These girls in question started using at 16 BUT they are ADULTS now. Everyone here knows our parents could not stop us in active full blown addiction. My mom begged cried pleaded she could not stop me. She is still fighting addiction with my brother who is still a active user. Anyway i also dis agree with not letting them hit rock bottom. I KNOW FULL WELL for some rock bottom is the grave i've seen it i've lost family to it... I've been there. I also know addicts only use you. I know forced recovery often leads to relasp. My uncle spent thousands of dollars on rehab for my two couions trying to force them into getting better he ended up burying em both in the same year a few months apart. So anyhow i don't have the answers to how to solve addiction if i did i'ld be famous. I know it's not because the mom was not there i know it's not because no one cared. I have seen too many times where it dose not work when it's forced. I liked the show i like the ideal behind Dr. phil trying to help I do wish fully for them to recover it still comes down to YOU CAN'T help those who won't help themself.
I wish I would have seen this! Sorry to have missed it - I really like Dr. Phil and think he usually offers up some good advice. But, I'm with Zerogirl on this one. I think intervention only works if the timing is right - if the addict is ready. I think sometimes the addict doesn't know they are ready, but if faced with an intervention or a choice like prison, it can click for them. However, I think it's very rare when it happens like that.
For me, the best advice I received as the mother of an addict was from Passion, "Let me fall all by myself."
God Bless,
Diane

Ohhh, I did not see that show and I ain't looking at the site.
That Doctor Phil works a nerve. I want to take his wife's made-up head and squezze it into a pancake.
You know how he points? I HATE that. HATE it. My mom does that. That's plain rude and you ain't needing to point your finger right at someone to get your dang point across. Plus I think that man actually exploits people on the rate of Maury Povich. They both offer a service, but you pay with your self-esteem. Maybe if ya can't afford therapy he's O.K. and ya make him your TV therapist. That'd work.
PARENTS. Blame the parents. Again I didn't see it, but at 16 YEAH ya better know what your kids are doing. Ya better check it all out. Unfortunately I am a person does that or did it and have a teen just went on to live where nobody knows crapolla. That's my fault too, but ya know I am only one human being. I can only spare so many people. Maybe Dr. Phil can come over and help.
Mother W your one little phrase from Passion works better than any old Doctor Philism. He has fine children in fine schools or fine marriage. He ain't us.

Dr Phil doesnt know s*** about addiction, he pissess me off cause he tries to make the addicts on his shows feel like total degenerates the way he talks to them, we already feel like losers we dont need him to tell us we need positive solutions
i saw the second part of the show....the 1 twin was really really bad. they are in the dr phil house now...i think it might be on again monday, well not again but i think they are shooting the monday episode of them in the dr phil house. i am going to see if it's on tonight...not 100% sure
