I, like many if not most of you, am battling an addiction to pain pills. Namely, Vicodin. While I'm doing better (went from taking 15 a day to 5 to just 2 pills he last 2 days), I have a drug test for a new job on Tuesday. I've read that Codeine stays in your system for 2-5 days, but it's going to be tough for me to not take any until then. Is there anyway to speed it up? I used marijuana before and know that is stored in fat cells and takes up to 30 days to clean out. Where does the Codeine go and how is it excreted?

I just did a drug test and on sub.i did the paper work and was really worried it would show up.but it has to be certein kind of test for it to show up.Then my brother and his wife was drug testing for d facts and the d facts workers told them that the kind of test they used was a standard
test and the pills wouldnt show up.....After they did serval test ....
When they were reported for pills abuse.I thought how crazy for them to send them to be tested for pill abuse and the test not detected them.....The worker told them that state would have to pay more for the other test and it was a waste of gov. money and thier time....You only have pills in systom right?The stardard test as i was reading with the paper work i had to go take after signing in .We had to wait with our paper work and the paper stated the test was looking for pot.crack.meth those kinds of things.Hubby and i were testing for custody of a child....
Or was you asking where the codeine goes?or how it exits the body?But if its a standard test and only pills you should be ok.....crystal

Thank you for your help. I may have pot in my system, though I've quit but it wasn't long ago. I'm going to take a home test for that and see. If only quitting pills was as easy as quitting pot!
Guess I'll see if they're testing for pills when I get there, but I'll take precautions until then...this is good motivation to take that next step to quitting.

I belive you will be ok with the pills .Do you have script incase thats prescribe to you for these pills?Walmart in the vitiman and herb roll around the meds and diet pills .They have a 7 days detox kit and it also help clean your liver ,kidney and is really good for your body....This is all i can offer in my help to you..Good luck ...Good night,,crystal

Also forgot to add it cost no more then eight bucks ..It would be good for someone quitting and doing this cold trukey to help get all that sh** out of your body and the w/ds may not be as bad.I know this b/c i was asked to pick the kit up and didnt know about this when i was trying cold trukey.Its called 7 day detox ..Its supose to help boost your energy and alot more.............Hope it will help you or someone doing cold trukey on thier own......Im gone again,,crystal
I have major experience in this area... as long as you drink water and make sure you urine frequntly, the opiate wont show up in yuor urine after 2 days... you'll be fine. If you are that worried, you can always get a cleaner. The good stuff is the red bottle at GNC.

I am not suggesting this but there are those who have borrowed other peoples urine & had it maintain the correct temperature by sotinng it in a small contianer in their uncerware. Usually, they have you remove stuff from ur pockets, & one time a girl had me lift my pant legs. (i dont think she was s upposed to, but she was the rare type who actually enjoyed "catching" people. I think at the time I was either nervous or tired or excited which made her suspicious, for when the test was done & she took the temp. of the eurine she commented surpprised that "It's the pproper temp.," I of course responded "Why shouldn't it be" <I was tempted to say i made sure it would be>) But normally these places are not looking for a switch & I for one would never suggest you do such a thing (it might even be against the law in some states). Just commenting on what I have heard some people did.
I may get in trouble for this & I dont even know if it will work but YEARS ago I had to do a wizzz quizz for a job & I was smoking & taking pills,there was something at GNC call FLUSH it was taken 2 hrs before the test with ALOT of water & it worked.Not sure if it will work.Like I said that was about 6 years ago & it was about 50.00 than.Good luck....mj
Thanks for all the advice. I e-mailed an "expert" from a website and they wrote back that hydrocodone isn't codeine (I take vicodin) and it doesn't break down to morphine and it's not tested in standard tests.
Took two different drug tests today that I purchased, and I think they were inconclusive (for pot). It's been about 3 weeks...but the lines were so faint that I think it'd throw up a red flag. My pops has synthetic urine that he's used 6 times and I think I'm going to use that instead of risking it...then continue to get clean. I'll try the 7 day detox too to further clean myself this week.
My test is tomorrow, nervous about being searched or not getting the right temp, but I gotta do it.
